Same stuff over and over and over and over again.

And Nos mounted f--king reall toolbox everything was nos when it was mounted atone time.

hard not to names but i see one seller frequently listing 4-5 items in the old for sale at a time in the section and almost zero hits because it's the same stuff over and over....i just move on ...i've seen it all already and have no interest.... maybe fish'n for a newbie ?

Sick of beta, one person 500 items being bumped.  I so hate selling in beta section.  I tend to think beta section is too high in price.  Old section, catchy titles are (dont wanna say it)  I might have done that once or twice but now i put what im selling or give a general idea what I am selling.

Beta is out for me, I might look in there if im trying to find something but usually i dont buy from beta section.  In  old section, people selling 2500 dollar bikes, really?  I can do figures in my head and your like 1300 over.  I wont buy that, thats for sure.  That makes me and go on to the next one.  I remember 3 years ago when i was buying and selling on Ebay.  Suntour clamps NOS goes for 30 bucks and prices have really gone through the roof.  why?  nothing has changed.  Just more people in the hobby thus more greed. 
I ll stop griping now.  Thank you for letting me vent.

the problem with beta is dealers. there is a hand full of dealers that just take advatage and list 50 items at a shot. there really should be a seperate section for dealers to list to stop absorbing space from us little guys.

I think it's telling that much of the good stuff still gets listed in the old section, and the beta FS tends to be flooded by dealers.

That said, if I'm trying to sell a high ticket item that I paid overs for, I do the beta thing because it's so damn easy to bump stuff up again if it runs its course (and disappears into obscurity behind 6000 repopped valve caps or whatever).

some stuff is way over priced...and it's not even rare! I do find good deals here...and plenty of fair sellers as well. I see alot of JDB Hutch stuff going for more(or the same)as than what it cost from him directly. I won't even try and negotiate with someone selling something for triple its worth!!! Newer tuff wheels going for more than you can get them for at colored tuffs.....

Should be a rule that you have to put, at least, a general idea of what you are selling in the title. It' common sense, really.

I prefer to list in the beta section as I like the photo hosting and not having to babysit my "for sale" listing.

Also, all the " glws, wish I had the money, if only I didn't owe 40 grand on my credit card" nonsense comments get old.

You guys should do away with the old section altogether.

Lets face it guys..... This site is a "for sale" driven site with heavy emphasis on monetary value and "scores" as opposed to a true, history and preservationist mentality.

You are probably 90% correct yet there is another 10% that do a great job of preserving the history of these bikes.
For the most part members are drawn here to BS about bikes, buy some parts and simply hang out which i think is a good thing.

No point in being serious about it though as the day will come when no one gives a damn about them.

Too many for sale ads with little or no description and 1 pic...maybe 2. Usually in the beta section.

I hate that people are willing to sell on beta but wont ship to Canada only on certain items or a certain money amount ! I do hate the same stuff over and over too. I still in new posts or old for sale most of the time. People are easy to deal with and willing to work on payment plans almost all the time.
