how to put a seat post clamp on rattle can sprayed frame?
I know that sounds like a really dumb question but I have completed my first rattle can sprayed frame and I put the headset on ... got it a little too close to the frame and a big chip came off the top of the frame
I can cover it with a sticker no biggie but HOW THE HECK do I put a seat post clamp on without all the paint chipping away on the frame as I put put the seat clamp on? Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I was thinking of trying to use a razor blade and make a clean cut around where I wanted the paint to end and the bottom of the seat post clamp to sit and try to shave the paint off and maybe put some seran wrap around the paint and wrap tape around the seran wrap to try to get the paint to stay on. ugh...
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ![]()

A set of reverse pliers. They work as pliers and spreaders, open the clamp a bit. they are awesome...

take the bolt out, apply grease to the inside of the seat clamp and on the post then take a medium sized flathead screwdriver and put it in the slot of the clamp, twist a litte bit then put it on the post to desired location. put the bolt back in, put seat post in then tighten the clamp.
