2001 Marin MBX 500
2001 Marin MBX 500
NOS Frame
Brand New Never Built Marin Frame. Pretty cool Frame design in person.
The MBX 500 takes full advantage of Marin's 3VH (Three Void Hollow)Technology and delivers it to the BMX racer. This frame is made of extruded aluminum by Anodizing Inc in Oregon USA, which means that the Aluminum is more dense at the surface yielding a stronger structure for lighter weight. This is the same process other premier manufacturers like Ellsworth, Intense, and Specialized use in treating down tubes. However this frame is made entirely using this process rather than just a few tubes.
Looking for Specialized and Haro mid school race parts and bikes.

Re: 2001 Marin MBX 500
From what I have read they didn't make a whole lot, got mine new in the original box from a MTN biker last fall? When I built it up it was easy to see the quality looking tubes and welds. Heard from a few guys these things can handle anything.
One thing to keep in mind is these have a long steer tube. I had 5 good used forks and none were long enough for this frame. I had to buy a new fork for it, I only cut off about 1-1/2" off the fork using a couple spacers and a thick stem. Just a FYI

Just picked one up on ebay for $62 shipped. Can't wait to get, may have to just stick on the wall in my workroom.
