Double butted Mid School GT Fork
Hello
Does anyone have one of these forks off a bike. I just picked up one and think someone may of done a decal swap. It weighs 2lb & 7oz.
That's getting close to 3 lb
I mean the fork on my 82 GT is only appx 1lb 10oz. This think is heavy.... To heave to be butted moly. Did I get taken?
I check my feedback daily if you buy from me please leave me a positive and I will be glad to return the favor. If for any reason you are unsatified please let me know Before leaving feedback and we will make it right.

Re: Double butted Mid School GT Fork
Lol defiantly not an upgrade from my stiletto. Which is kinda heavy to.
I'd like to knock some weight off the front of my speed series. But will not do carbon.

Anyone have a idea on weight on double butted GT fork 1 1-/8 like stock pro or speed series? Regular wishbone style.

Re: Double butted Mid School GT Fork
2lbs 6oz is what mine are. The 1 1/8" ones were not that light, but at least they didn't bend hitting rocks on the road.
compared to today's forks they are heavier, but not by that much.. many forks are at the 2 lbs mark now. In order to see a huge difference, you'd have to go titanium or carbon.
I'm sorry I don't kiss a$$.
black and chrome parts, the way bikes should always be.

Re: Double butted Mid School GT Fork
Thanks for answering my question. I was going to keep either way. Probly will just leave the stilleto on there though as its probly a touch lighter. It has served me well so far.

This is accurate
. I weighed my 20" 1997 GT Cr-Mo threadless fork last year and it came in at 2 lb. 7 oz. (http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=202013).
