hey.

Anyoone running a DC 730 Mini Brake, know if that fits on a pro size. i'd like to use the DC 730 on my hutch.

"Yah" = Yes, it will fit. You need to run a mini wheel though in order for it to have the reach. I've had 1-3/8" wheels on our Pro Racer before and had to choke way up on the brakes, and I also have a DC730 and I'm certain it will fit.

whats the difference 20x1.375 or 20x1.50. does the extra 3.1 mm make a huge difference.

maybe slot the 730 the .125 inches. a milmeter is the thickness of a credit card. think i have enough room, if it was a really big problem and i just wanted to use the 730 i could weld some material to it, hopefully it does not go that far.

although you are right you do have to bring in the rear tire to get the 740 to work from what i have seen. but i think that guy was using 20.175's

Im talking about diameter of the rim. 138 is much larger rim diameter than 175 or 150

think you mean smaller. i think not sure 1 3/8 = 1.375 im think about using the 1.50 only .125 difference about 3 millimeters

A 1-3/8" rim has a smaller width, than a 1.50 or 1.75" rim, you are right. That's not what I'm talking about.

A 1-3/8" rim has a larger diameter than a 1.50 or 1.75" rim. This is why, if you run 1-3/8" rims, you normally have to use a short brake like the DC730.

ahhhhhhhhhhhh. so you have 24" in rims. is that what your are mentioning. i asked if the 730 would fit onto a hutch.

It's almost comical.

Okay, a 20 x 1-3/8" rim is 451 mm in diameter.
a 20 x 1.5 (or 1.75) rim is 406 mm in diameter.

Because the tire is smaller on the 1-3/8" wheel, the overall diameter is not quite so much bigger.

I tell ya' again, you can put a DC730 on a HPR, but you need to use a 20 x 1-3/8" rim if you do it.

the difference is 1.7716 inches from 20x1.375 from 20x1.50 or 401mm for the 20x1.50 & 451mm bead for the 20x1 3/8

keep your rims to, hopefully they go to someone deserving
