1985 Redline Prostyler
1985 Redline Prostyler
100% Survivor Radberry * Since Sold*
Bought this bike off of eBay in July 2012. It was orginally purchased for a sponsored skateboarder after he had broken his ankle because his parents were tired of him hurting himself. After he got his cast off he rode this bike for about 2 weeks and then put it up in his garage, where it hung until the day he took it down to ship it to me. As you can see in the before picture, this bike was extremely dirty but had a lot of potential. I took this bike down and hand cleaned it piece by piece, bolt by bolt, bearing by bearing. The Masters had 27 year old brake grime on them, which took me 8+ hour of wetsanding to get back to perfect. I've put a lot of time and effort into getting this bike to where it is, and I really love this bike because of it.
Here's a link to the build thread I made on this bike: http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=429323
I realize that a lot of people would prefer to keep this bike 100% stock, but I feel like my light twist on a stock appearance does a lot for the bike.
*1985 Radberry Prostyler frame and fork 100% survivor
*stock Hatta headset
*NOS white Comp ST's on the stock Radberry Masters... Actually still running the original innertubes to the bike
*stock Redline Forklifter stem with STR Bars
*stock Tech5 levers
*stock Radberry lettered 880's
*White Oakley B2 Grips
*stock Sugino crank, spider and chainring
*stock Izumi chain
*White Grafight2000 pedals
*stock Elina Flyte Tech seat on the stock fluted Redline post and polished Suntour Broken Arrow clamp
The first two pictures are of her next to my buddy Tony's 86 rl20ii, the third picture is of her the last time she was completely stock, then the final is from the day I pulled her out of the box.
Thanks so much for checking it out!
