Stuck Seat Post Battle 2012
I had just purchased a 26" MCS and it had a seat post stuck in the down tube. To add to the toughness of this removal the former owner or someone BITD had milled or drilled out the top 4 inches of the stuck seat post.( I now understand why they did this!!)
After a few research section ideas and some local phone calls to buddies and LBS's I started in on this with a hammer and screwdriver just knocking away at it trying to get some movement but not really thinking .
After 10-20 whacks I went back to the phone and a buddy says cut this thing into sections with a hacksaw. So I made up a SHANK and went to work . 2hrs later I had several cuts and dripped olive oil down the sides. yes olive oil ! why not LOL:)

at this point I am having some movement but how to get it out is my concern, everytime I hit it down further:( I am getting pissed off and tired at this point and make one more cut which by the final cut (3rd) it only takes my 20 minutes. I guess I was a little to timid at the beggining. I took needle nose and bent the tip of the hacksaw into a little hook and started yanking on that sucker.
this is a story to testify the cut method works and especially on GOLD aluminum Race Inc. posts ![]()
Thanx GUYS !!! BMX 4 LIFE

Re: Stuck Seat Post Battle 2012
they look nice next to eachother , you forgot to mention how the guy you purchased the mcs magna cruise with red headbadge decal from never told /said anything about the stuck post , dirty baaaasssstard. i am glad you were abole to get the post out . now you have two mcs 26" cruisers to enjoy. i hope you like the one i sold you .
i'm sick of people lowballing and changing their mind after the details of item were given then asking for money off or refund . now all items are sold as is no returns ask all questions before dibbing .
