Hey Everyone, Mongooseman11 here, (Kevin) just wanted to thank you all to who have helped me and been a great friend over the years. OS BMX was a huge part of my childhood and if it wasnt for this hobbie idk how i would of got by. after my father passing when i was 10 i started at around age 12 taking a part and putting bikes back together until i knew how to work on them and after i did that i started restoring bikes and that basically kept my mind off everything growing up. it sure was a great hobby to get into and a huge part of my life ill never forget. im 17 now and its my time to move on and sell my bikes and parts to people who will give them a good home like i would of back in the day. over the past year i wasnt really involved in the hobby as much because i was saving up for my blazer and fixing it up over the past year. i figured i wont see myself restoring bikes in the future and id be more likely to be restoring cars instead since im going to school to become an auto mechanic, its really sad to say that but it has to happen eventually. im sure ill still be stoping around to maybe buy some stickers or clothes but bikes and parts im done with. the only few things i plan to keep instead of selling them is my 1988 Peregrine expert that i completely restored from frame up, my 86 Redline i won in the ttbmx contest back in 09, ill never get rid of that one and just some other autographed items i got over the years but everything will be sold so i can save that money for a new car down the road or maybe even a restoration project if i have the time and money. Not trying to sell my stuff threw this post but if anyone knows the stuff i have and would be interested send me a pm before i post it. next week when the post office is open due to sandy comming threw jersey is when ill start posting things so i can send them out. i want to thank Gary for everything he has done and also thank him for a KICK A** site no doubt. if any of you still want to keep in touch add me on facebook the name is Kevin Nykyforuk.

Once again thank you all for everything, ill sure miss this hobby but its time to move on right now

haha Thanks man, it means alot but yea ive been around, just working on my blazer blowing money hahaha but ill deffinatly stop around some more for the catchall of bmx fun for sure just to see what all you guys are up to!

1994 S10 blazer last year of the first gen s10s but thanks man, yea i wanted to take after my father and become a mechanic so i have everything planned out!

and thanks thesega! if i find anything in my shop i think youd like ill shoot you a message man!

Goodl luck to you Kevin. When your done restoring that blazer come back and show us. I'm sure alot of us would love to see your mechanic skills. Take care and see you back sooner than later.

Thanks Brotha, not sure if you misread it or i just wrote it wrong, either way no worries haha but nah i saved up for the blazer my first car and ive just been doing work to it over the past year, no restoration except the carpet but other than that just fixing little things, i plan to use this money for when that thing takes a dump on me or if its still running with in a year or two use the money for a project car

Good Luck with everything.I too am a young collector who restored bmx/banana seat bikes in my youth(22 now) I took the same break but kept my one bike and after a 5 year break I am back to racing and new to this site.I am also a mechanic so best of luck to you and your future.Instead of bikes it will be tools.Theyre shiney and fun to collect aswell

Don't go into the automotive field worked at a dealer for 9.5 years an 5 years of school total. The business is not what it used to be.

Work on forklifts some of ten are union jobs. I just started working on them about a ear ago company vam cell phone holidays off. Benifits

And if you do decide to work on cars don't go flat rate warrenty times make it impossible to make money.

Good luck with your travels man. And if you can fix a car you can pretty much fix anything. Pay attention in electrical, and engine performance.

most of us old guys know just where your coming from... a lot of us, me included took that break once we were able to get cars. i did the car thing for a lot of years but ended up coming back here to re-live the good days and introduce it to my kids. whatever you do dont get rid of those bikes that really mean something to you now because one day you'll be really happy you kept them.

I agree with these guys, been in the automotive field for 20 years, snap on will bankrupt you. Shop around for tools.

Ps you will be back. I left bmx when I was 18, returned at 27 for a year or so, and at 37 my kids brought me back.
