GT serial number question
Hi all,
I know this must have been asked a million times but I am trying to identify the year of a GT performer. I think that it's a very recent model judging by the serial number but I am unsure. I have read the guide on GT serial numbers but to be honest I can't make head nor tail of it. Can anyone help? I can post pics of as well if required -
Serial number is found on the underside of the frame at the bottom bracket: S9EY02423 then opposite this number is has GE - 924.
My dad found this bmx (everything but the wheels) dumped in a communal park area where he works, I was thinking it would be a good restoration project for my 9 year old. Something for him to get involved in with stripping and re-assembling the bike etc.
I would appreciate if someone could have a look at this and make sense of it ![]()

Re: GT serial number question
Just found a bike exactly the same as this which claims to be 1999, can anyone confirm this year?
