Redline ST 20 600b survivor complete

Call dibs and pm me for PP.. I will be out of town from tomorrow until next Tues, so I won't be able to ship until then.

'84 Redline ST 20 600b. When I bought this bike, it had an incorrect front wheel and Pro Class bars on it. Other than that, I believe this bike to be a original survivor as evidenced by the uniform overall condition and correct parts content. The rear Suzue hub bears a "4b" code, the Sugino crank and mx 900 caliper are stamped '83. The Izumi chain is unbroken with no master link. Additionally, when I bought the bike, the previous owner posted a video showing the bike with a correct front wheel; I do not know what happened to that wheel before I received the bike. I replaced the front with a "3E" stamped Suzue/Ukai SpeedLine - I also have the matching rear. If you want, I will swap it out with the original rear for a matched set, which incidentally would match the caliper exactly (5/83) - your call. The bike now also has oval-stamped Redline v-bars and Mushroom grips in comparable condition to the rest of the parts. The brake cable is unstamped/undated.

Overall condition is very good, with excellent drops, no dings or dents, and the usual oxidation in the tight spots. The chrome on the frame also shows pitting but looks nice regardless - much better than the flash in the pictures would indicate. The wheels spin juust this side of perfectly true and have no flat spots or major dings, otherwise, they show normal wear. All the hardware is in good shape, there are no hammer marks on the Brute stem, and the Flyte Tech seat shows normal wear and scuffing. The rear Kenda Compe III shows considerable wear and cracking; I believe it to be a survivor tire. The front Kenda is new as I received it on the bike. The head tube decal, fork decals, and seat tube decal on one side are missing. All I've ever done to this bike is wipe it down with some Honda polish and clean and regrease the hubs, headset, and bb with Park lube. I had new tires on it and used it as a rider around town extensively - everything works, it's ready to go, and a very nice bike as it sits. This bike could easily be restored to a real showstopper, but it'll only be original once.

745.00 shipped to the lower 48. I'll ship anywhere on your dime. I will pack this completely and carefully, no disappointments. Again, I will be out of town until next Tuesday, so it will not ship before then. Thanks for looking - Jim

Digging that Brute stem!

oh!  my first Redline.   BTW the stem should be a Sugino....I still have mine, took it off and had out a Forklifter.

Re: Redline ST 20 600b survivor complete

I believe the factory tires were Knarler Knobbies fyi.  I do seem to recall the original rims having that polished groove....which when I smashed my rim, was impossbile to match at my lbs....prompting me to swap out for Z-rims.

Re: Redline ST 20 600b survivor complete

Oops, sorry, I did not mean to imply the tires were og, they are not. The rear is definitely a survivor from bitd, though. And the stem is og, I've seen plenty of period ads picturing this model with this stem. Thanks for the comments regardless. Offers anyone? I want this bike to go to a good home, I started high for the heck of it...
