Have an opportunity on this and don't know much about mongoose. Can anybody identify year, quality of frame and a ballpark value?

The guy claims it is from the 80's, but I picked up a diamondback VENOM stamped 98 that he thought was from the 80's as well.

Let me know if the image doesn't appear.

Yes its not an 80s.Mongoose can tell by the head tube badge.

that's pretty close. except the logo looks a bit different and the cable bracket on the tube is on the bottom vs the top. I meant to take a look at the rear brake bracket and see how many hose were in there. i am starting to lean more late 90's. basically i want to make sure it isn't a walmart special. i am pretty sure it's all 4130 though. So probably not walmart.

yeah, i was noticing that. it has the black ring around it. don't know much about the logos, but this looks newer to me. Just getting back into bikes so my 20+ year memory of BMX and freestyle (i guess flatland now?) is a bit hazy.

I don't have one. This ones off CL. He said it was all 4130. I didn't pick it up though. I'm also curious about the handlebars.

I'm wondering if they r knee savers (if I remember right) just getting back into it and memory is fuzzy. Haro? I'm outta town till Sunday so ill see if its still there when I get back.

It has a head tube badge, (maybe added) But that looks kinda like a 93, But again? cable on top tube?????

Another guy has a mike Dominguez strike zone frame he was going to give me for free. But it was his when he was a kid and he couldn't part with it just yet. He gave me the 87 predator. Rides fine. Ugly but the frame is seriously clean.

Wishbone rear and canti brakes, it's a 90s model. It looks like an Expert, but I'm not certain.
