GROUP 1 - Almost done!

I'm pretty happy with how this bike is turning out, just thought I'd show it off a bit.
Need some 990 pads in white for the brakes and I'll be swapping the stem for an
88' Team stem.
All parts are OG finish, the only new items are the cable housing and rim strips.
Serial'd H88...... STAY RAD!

That is sweet!  I had one as a kid, that will be one of the builds I need to do one day.

Re: GROUP 1 - Almost done!

look at the seat tube angle, I am sure it looks crazy due to the camera lens width, but Pete Loncravich had to have had a say in that one.

Great looking bike too, I'd always wanted to have a ride on one.  They just looked so neat.

Re: GROUP 1 - Almost done!

Super nice Dave!!!  I love the way Group 1's look.  They have a nice long, big (RL20ii-ish) geometry.

Very nice..  I like the Redline Flights on there for a change as well...  you know, like someone would have actually ridden it back in the day!

Killer, my friend!

Nice Group 1.  I like the use of the redline cranks. I was going to say put a chain on it and go for a ride but I forgot you live in Canada and are probably a couple of feet under snow tongue

Re: GROUP 1 - Almost done!

Thanks for the comments guys! I loved my RS3 when I got it in 87' couldn't afford any thing else at the time but I just remember it being the smoothest ride ever.
I trade the bike sometime later for a Kenwood stereo system, it only took 25 more years to get the one I really wanted. lol

Re: GROUP 1 - Almost done!

Rad, I love the hard anno Pro Class hoops on that.  Really sets off the gray front end of the bike.  This is similar to the direction I'm going with my RS-1.  Killer job as usual, dude.  Can't wait to see some action shots.  Funny seeing the freestyle guys building up these RS-1s lately.  tongue
