Cyclone Coasters....monthly cruise in Long Beach!

Cyclone Coasters ride the 1st Sunday of every month, rain or shine. The main focus is vintage American made bicycles, you will see tons of really cool antique pre-war bikes still rollin' but lately some old 26" BMX cruisers(and maybe a 16" pit bike or two) are showing up for some Fun cruisin'! cool

The route changes every time but always starts at Portfolio's Coffee Shop on 4th & Junipero.

Check out www.cyclonecoaster.com for all the info you need. The founders of this ride, Frank & Bernard are really cool cats and you can contact them through their website if you have any questions. I'm posting this hoping to get a few more old 26"ers out of the garage onto the Strand one Sunday a month. It's a laid back crowd, all the folks are cool and it's a Fun day of vintage cruisin' by the beach. cool

Re: Cyclone Coasters....monthly cruise in Long Beach!

Here's a few photos from yesterday's ride to Seal Beach. A bunch of the Santa Barbara cruisers came down and everyone had a blast! There were several Cook Bros cruisers, a Bassett, Powerlite, Laguna, Boss, 4 Gary Littlejohn's I believe, custom Schwinns, 1 looptail "mystery cruiser", and a ton of olde tyme classic cruisers!

If anyone else gets photos, post em up! big_smile

Re: Cyclone Coasters....monthly cruise in Long Beach!

Yeah, I'm watching the weather too.

Cyclone Coasters ride rain or shine. Maybe I should start deciding which bike is less likely to rust...wink

Thanks man but that Laguna is torn apart right now so it's not ridable.

Re: Cyclone Coasters....monthly cruise in Long Beach!

I'm not sure ill be bringing the kos if its wet. I'd hate to get it all wet. I will bring the tallbike, mobbing through puddles won't matter on that thing, I won't get wet from that high up as long as its not raining. lol

I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy. smile

Re: Cyclone Coasters....monthly cruise in Long Beach!

I just rode down to Portfolios to check it out. The rain has stopped for the moment an it's clear, but there's not a big turnout. Maybe just a couple dozen bikes. Looks like the weather is keeping people away.

I'm thinking about hanging in the garage and working on this stuck seatpost.
