I never threw a bike away, but my neighbor did!

My Mom threw away my 1986 Zeronine XL , which I still piss and moan about from time to time . It was taken apart and wrapped up and covered with a small tarp . I left it when I went away for school for  2 years . Came back and found out she threw it away thinking it was broken garbage . Bummer . lol

What would you guys do with this?

Same here Burning! My Mom threw everything away! Even all my Vinyl LPs. TO THE MOON ALICE!!

I initial thoughts about the Kuwahara was to give it a nice new coat of paint, possibly flat black, then give the chrome a nice shine. But it has issues, the mounts for the canti style brakes have been cut, i was quoted at 30$ for the fix, but then i noticed the freewheel was broken...and now a bent axle lol I still think it's a cool bike.... And i think it has potential.

I agree Johnnny, it might happen!

my pop tossed my A&A moto in the early 80's cause the frame was snapped in 2 spots...   

I just threw away a Hutch Judge.

I tossed my childhood diamondback strike zone f&f out with all my bmx stuff.
I thought "no one wants this old school stuff anymore" my kids will want the new school.
So during a clean up of my shed it got tossed.... I ummmmed n arrrred about it for ages.
Not long after I found this site. Didn't I make a bad choice!

When I got my Schwinn Scrambler F/F for Christmas back in the early 80's, I pulled the wheels off my Huffy Thunder Road and threw the rest in the trash.

I threw out an orange '71 Iverson Roadrunner back in the mid 80's; I was 15.  Fast forward to 2006-7 and my son's friend shows up on a flat black Iverson without the banana seat; had a big Schwinn seat.  I asked him where he got it and he said his uncle garbage picked it when he was a kid.  I told him that it could be my old bike and he said 'no way, my uncle lived in Bay' (a few towns away.  No kidding, I grew up in Bay - turns out his uncle lived in the cul-de-sac at the end of my street. He was 5-6 years younger so I didn't know him.  He still has the original seat but he didn't like the white seat with orange stripes on a flat black bike.

I've tried to buy it from my son's friend but he won't sell.  Although, he just got his license a couple months ago... I wonder if he could use some gas money!

I away 1 Colombia Pro Am, 2 Diamond back frames that had bad cracks. Sad thing is now I can weld and those bikes would have been 15 minute fixes.

Only an accidental one that I found out about after the fact. Mom's old garage was falling down about 5 years ago and the neighbor helped out by bringing a dump truck and a track hoe and removing the garage. What I was told earlier this year while trying to relocate my 1979 MCS Magnum was "Oh hunny, I think that old bike was there in the garage and they just SCOOPED IT ALL UP IN THE DUMP TRUCK" ahhhhhhhhrgh!!

Edit; opps, fixed for bike only throw away.
