Yes the older Redline 24" dont have the gusset. My guess would be 83-84.

The serial number does not have the year in it like most brands.

Dang nice score for 120.00,the hoop looks like Ukai speedline spray bombed red.I hope the seat clamp area is not cracked from that laidback post,Redlines are fragile in that area.
