Mad Maxx Wheel Build
So, I have sourced some Madd Max 36H NOS hubs and Rims. I just ordered some Sapim 12g spokes, but when I got them, I thought they were really dull. Apparently they are raw SS without any finish.
SO Today took them to work to have them electropolished. I will post the results.
The real question is; am I insane for drilling out a perfectly good set of hubs and rims? I really want that beefy look to go with the Madd Max!!
Thoughts?

Re: Mad Maxx Wheel Build
I would say drilling out spoke holes is not optimal for strength, and ruins the part.

Re: Mad Maxx Wheel Build
Do t drill them , there's no benefit to the larger spokes other than weight !

Re: Mad Maxx Wheel Build
Being a Peregrine guy. Please do not drill out those parts. I would say if you HAVE to drill out Peregrine wheels. Use a set of standard 48H loose bearing hubs and standard 48H hoops. There are a lot more of those available and with 48 spokes it would be give you that bulky look you want.

Re: Mad Maxx Wheel Build
Alright already! I succumb to the community pressure to keep these wheels pristine, that and my wife calling me a dumbass... I will lace these with the originally intended 14g spokes. Anyone need some freshly electropolished 12g 180mm spokes??
