the rims are red weinnemen with lambert sealed road bike hubs
it's a 77/78 with welded rings on the head tube not pressed on or flared like the later 1's

What sn? I Thought welded cups, just ment it was early us made. First official year for proline was 78' right?

You are correct about the welded head tube, those were US made. The Pro-Line actually came out in mid 77, the first ones that were made in Northridge had the horizontal head tube sticker and the late 77 made in Chatsworth had the vertical head tube sticker. A serial number under 10,000 would be a 77, 10,600 would be around March of 78 and would be around 19,000 by the end of 78 and the six digit serial number started in mid 79
This is a very nice example though, nobody does them in red. I need to find me a red one.
