Hey, I'm Mike, I'm from the Phoenix Metro Area. After many trips to LA to ride the OG 4130 Subway Series Ride , I figured its time to get the Locals together and start up a ride of our own. I'm looking to start in Jan. 2013, I'm thinking the first or third Saturday of each month. If anybody wants to help plan and get this ride going with me that would be great. I know Phoenix has a large BMX Community, plus most of the year we have perfect weather. The ride is open to all BMXers, Pit Bikes, 20's, Crusiers, 29ers, Your Moms old Schwinn(whatever),New and Old School if you've got BMX love lets ride.

I know theres plenty of Chromies in the Valley, I've meet a few in LA on the 4130 SSR. Lets bring it here

I'm working on a route from Downtown to Tempe Town Lake area, then grabbin the Light Rail back to Downtown.

good luck , i to have also gone to the subway series (twice) from boston and decided the same thing , that we needed one here. so i started in march and its been a blast...again good luck!!!!

I've got a Route planned out, planning to ride in the next couple of weeks to see how it'll work.

Anybody want to go on the first test Mission?

Ok Everybody the First Ride is set for 01/26/13. We'll start in the downtown area and work our way over to the canal path and take that towards Tempe and then hop over the bridge to the Town Lake area. Maybe grab a drink or two then hop the light rail back to downtown.

I've been wanting to ride with some local people. I am interested in taking the first ride! As long as I can find someone to watch my kid for me that day, I am in!!

I'm still looking for riders, If anybody has any input or ideas speak up, I'm open to times and routes.

Phoenix should have a monthly BMX get together and ride. I just came back from the LA 4130 Subway Series 3 Year Anniversary Ride last weekend, it was crazy over 400 riders bombing the streets of LA. Everybody from kids to teens, Old schoolers on Old School rides, to guys and gals rockin 26" and 29ers. Perry Kramer was there with his son, and thee "OM" was there too. Just to name a few. We might have a smaller population but I know we have lots of BMXers here too.

Hey, Mike, Mike here in Portland. I used Craigslist in bike for sale to get a few riders, made some little flyers, stopped people riding and told them also. But craigslist got the most riders in.

We are doing our 1 yr ride this Saturday, good luck and keep it up, people will join.
At least you have no rain to worry about. Last 3 months we got rained out.

I hope to make it to Hollywood next year.

it'll take time, our 1st ride we pulled in a big 5 riders ,but our last ride 30. in 15 degree weather!

Hey, I am in for a ride. Suggestion for a future ride: We have completely rebuilt Papago Park jumps, some big stuff. Could meet at the jumps, ride over the mountain to Tempe Town lake and then take the bike path up towards the Wedge Skatepark, perhaps the pump track behind Rage Bikes, have a drink in old town, there is a light rail stop about 1/2 mile from the jumps.

Taking the boy to Monster Jam on Saturday, what time do you plan on riding?

Sweet!!!!!! I totally open to Suggestions and Ideas. Your route sounds awesome, I'm up for whatever. since theres not a huge turnout changing things is easy. Rage is a cool shop I dig that place, maybe they can help spread the word and we can make them a ragular stop. When this thing takes off it'll be awesome.

Looks Good lets Hit Papago then go for a ride. I'm totally open on the times, Anjudoknow wants to go too so lets get a time and do this

OK heres the deal, meet up a Papago Park jumps 12 Noon this Saturday the 26th. We'll take a cruise around the lake then up towards Rage and hit the pump track. and back to Papago.

IT NEVER RAINS IN PHOENIX......

Yep you guessed it looks like its gonna rain all day, we're going to have to push the first 4130SVS ride back untill next month. That gives me time to spread the word some more and really get this ride fired up. Thanks to all who are interested
