2012 Skyway T/A XL 24

**This bike was sold to a stoked dude in Venice before I moved spring of '14. If I come back, I'm lookin' him up to buy it back, LOL! **

Once Bitten, Twice Shy **  UPDATE TO THE GREAT WHITE!  **

All-white got all-old pretty quick for me, so it changed to something more basic and classic 80s / race style.  Trimmed off some weight and slammed the rear wheel for a dialed ride. I could actually dump my other bikes and be fine with just this one - though we all know that ain't happenin'!!  (Kept one pic of the all-white scheme for reference.)

I guess that by using that logic none of the bikes from bitd like mongoose, GT, Redline, etc, would interest you since there are literally thousands of them lol

Edit: oh btw nice ride dude!

Seriously, post it somewhere else, not on someone's build.  Which by the way is tasty, wouldn't change a thing.

Are these pictures taken in Beverly Hills right off sunset? I think I recognize this place.mgreat build.

I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy. smile

If you're "over em" then why keep looking at the builds? Take your negativity elsewhere I reckon...dude!

Yo TXBONE,

Yah, that's the location alright!  Good eye!  I'm off the strip in WeHo and riding West on Sunset is the only flat ground for a smooth, non-hilly cruise in that area. Unfortunately, all the trees around there drop these annoying, juicy, seedy, red / purple berries that stick like glue to anything they come in contact with, especially tire treads and any nooks & crannies in frames, forks and brakes that they can flip up onto!  Always gotta do a post ride clean-up.  Even more-so now with an all-white bike, ha ha. roll

Good spot with plenty of sunlight to take pix of bikes.  And if yer lucky, a friendly dog will come up to take a sniff while yer squatting with the camera!  ha ha!

Re: 2012 Skyway T/A XL 24

At one point I had my 82 Kuwi 24 almost completely snowed out.  Have switched it up for more of a classic look now (white/red).  Yours is my favorite TA 24 I've seen.

Re: 2012 Skyway T/A XL 24

Radical, thanks for the compliment!  I've seen your Kuwahara's on here just not too long ago, so when you posted your all-white version, i recognized it as "that guy from Switzerland's bike!," ha ha!  I've always loved Kuwi's, too, but never had one.  Would love to build up a classic 24 Kuwi one day!

Re: 2012 Skyway T/A XL 24

love it, just building my white 24 in the UK now, i got the 24 tuffs on, a shimano sf mx30 17t freewheel, the blank euro bb, redline flight cranks, trying a nos sugino spider with 43t sugino ring, problem im having is chain alignment!! the chainwheel is nearly touching frame, its snug up to the bb apart from the adapter washer to make it 19mm, but still looks like it needs to be further in! impossible!! or freewheel further out, also impossible! maybe only work with new wheels,  help! big_smile

Re: 2012 Skyway T/A XL 24

Skyways are everywhere for a reason...enough said there. Clean build cool I love seeing all the different tastes on the same bike.

Black and Blue that Kuwi is disgustingly sick!...killer!
