2012 Skyway T/A XL 24
2012 Skyway T/A XL 24
GREAT WHITE! Whited-out build of the newly released 2012 Skyway T/A 24 XL.
I'm sure we'll see a few more all-white / mostly-white Skyway T/A 24 XL builds soon, but here's mine.
Aside from the F/F and Bars kit, I tried to keep it as economical as I could utilizing the white tuffs and chain I had on another bike. Wherever I couldn't use white, I went with chrome / polished silver. The blue chain ring and the blue / white checkered donuts where the only color I was willing to go with. Although some parts are contemporary, they were used as great pieces to complete the all white color scheme. The bike has already had a few rides, and other than some minor tightening / tweaking after it's maiden long distance voyage, it's a really great and comfortable bike. Getting a lot of compliments from non-BMX random people, too! Thanks to Skyway and Planet BMX for making these happen, really loving it! Originally had an SE lightning plastic race seat with blue lightening bolt, but after the first long ride, had to swap it out for something with more cushion for the pushin'!

I guess that by using that logic none of the bikes from bitd like mongoose, GT, Redline, etc, would interest you since there are literally thousands of them lol
Edit: oh btw nice ride dude!

Seriously, post it somewhere else, not on someone's build. Which by the way is tasty, wouldn't change a thing.
You know that metal plate in my head? I had to have it replaced because every time Catherine revved up the microwave I'd piss my pants and forget who I was for a half-hour or so. So, over at the VA they had to replace it with a plastic one and it ain't as strong. So, I don't know if I ought to go sailing down no hill with nothing between the ground and my brain but a piece of government plastic.

Are these pictures taken in Beverly Hills right off sunset? I think I recognize this place.mgreat build.
I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy.

If you're "over em" then why keep looking at the builds? Take your negativity elsewhere I reckon...dude!

Yo TXBONE,
Yah, that's the location alright! Good eye! I'm off the strip in WeHo and riding West on Sunset is the only flat ground for a smooth, non-hilly cruise in that area. Unfortunately, all the trees around there drop these annoying, juicy, seedy, red / purple berries that stick like glue to anything they come in contact with, especially tire treads and any nooks & crannies in frames, forks and brakes that they can flip up onto! Always gotta do a post ride clean-up. Even more-so now with an all-white bike, ha ha.
Good spot with plenty of sunlight to take pix of bikes. And if yer lucky, a friendly dog will come up to take a sniff while yer squatting with the camera! ha ha!

Re: 2012 Skyway T/A XL 24
At one point I had my 82 Kuwi 24 almost completely snowed out. Have switched it up for more of a classic look now (white/red). Yours is my favorite TA 24 I've seen.
You know that metal plate in my head? I had to have it replaced because every time Catherine revved up the microwave I'd piss my pants and forget who I was for a half-hour or so. Re: 2012 Skyway T/A XL 24
Radical, thanks for the compliment! I've seen your Kuwahara's on here just not too long ago, so when you posted your all-white version, i recognized it as "that guy from Switzerland's bike!," ha ha! I've always loved Kuwi's, too, but never had one. Would love to build up a classic 24 Kuwi one day!
