Re: name that minty skyway!!!!!!!!!

Looks like a restored 1986 (or late 85) Street Beat, not a Street Styler.
The aero down tube and seatpost are dead giveaways.

Whoever restored it probably just used Styler stickers because they matched the accessories.

Great bike.
You should dry it off before it rusts.

Re: name that minty skyway!!!!!!!!!

in order of top of the line skyway did it go:
1)street beat
2)street styler
3)street scene

from the factory of course, not our own opinions. was this the order from skyways top freestyle bikes?

Yep, I'm pretty sure, for 1985-86.
Street Beat had full chromo frame set - with all that aero shaped tear drop tubing like the TA.
Street Styler was full chromo too, but had regular round tubing for the down tube, etc
Street Scene was their entry level bike, might have been partial chromo/hi-tensile/trimoly

I'm not positive on that last one.

Re: name that minty skyway!!!!!!!!!

I know paint and I can't tell its ever had a restoration. I don't understand the street beet frame either. This was a window display and was said to be never riden until this year. One ride around in Grand Haven this summer so tires have a little dirt. Other than that everything like new. No idea on the decals why wrong. hmm

Re: name that minty skyway!!!!!!!!!

Definitely not a Streetstyler.  I say Street beat. Aero tubes are the
tell, as stated before.  I can't speculate on why it has Styler decals.
In my experience, Styler decal sets are harder to find, so to use them
on a Beat is strange.
