Northeast Ohio Riders
The North Carolina guys have a topic like this to get their local riders together so it seems fitting we do something similar since I know there are quite a few of us on here. I figure this would be the place to post smaller rides so we're not cluttering up the Events section for a small neighborhood cruise.
In dog beers I've only had one.

Re: Northeast Ohio Riders
I will be up at Ray's MTB tomorrow evening if anyone wants to join me. I should be up there by 5pm and will be wearing a grey helmet and riding a black S&M 24" Dirt Bike.

Re: Northeast Ohio Riders
Century Cycles "All hail the ale" night ride on the Towpath trail Saturday October 20
Century Cycles and our friends will bring the 2012 season of Night Rides on the Towpath Trail to a close with a ride to celebrate Cleveland Beer Week!
The ride will began at 7:30pm from the parking lot of our store in Peninsula (1621 Main Street). We'll do our usual ride at a casual pace (not a race) for about 13 miles on the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.
Riders will enjoy Oktoberfest-style snacks at the ride turn-around point - cheese, pretzels, sausages, beer nuts, and other salty delicacies - to fuel our ride back to The Winking Lizard and making us REALLY thirsty for some good beer!
Decorate yourself or your bike in tribute to the event theme "All Hail the Ale!" While beer costumes are not required, they are highly encouraged. Those in costume will have a chance to win prizes, plus they won't have their beer loyalty questioned.
While the Night Ride is FREE and requires no advanced registration, Night Riders must sign a waiver before participating and are responsible for the purchase of their own beer and food at the Winking Lizard. This ride is at night, in the dark woods on an un-lit trail. That is why bicycle lights and helmets are REQUIRED. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult; young adults under 21 should ignore all the excitement about the beer tapping. Finally, make sure those beer costumes don't hang or catch in a bicycle's spokes or chain (falling off your bike tends to ruin the fun) and that you can still wear your bike helmet in costume.

Re: Northeast Ohio Riders
Hey Guys - Just wanted to pop in to give an intro. I used to race at the Derby Downs back in the '87 - '90 years and have always been a BMX rider deep down. Just recently got back into BMX with a '90 GT Pro Series, and have also quickly accumulated a few more rides in a very short month or so! Couple are in progress - building a '94 Mach One and a mid-late '90's Powerlite Spitfire (I think...). Also inherited a mid-90's rider condition GT Vertigo. Grabbed a Diamond Back Viper from a thrift store for $10 but some jackbag cut the rear brake stems off ![]()
At any rate, I got a season pass to Ray's so I'm trying to make it up there at least one night a week usually riding the chrome GT Pro Series. I'm usually in shorts and a T-shirt or a grey hoodie and black helmet.
I'll keep an eye out for rides and whatnot to try to meet up!

Re: Northeast Ohio Riders
If I make it up there, I'm usually there on a weeknight after work, often Thursdays when the place is nice and dead. I do know I'll be there most of the day on Sunday the 17th as my cousin will be in town with his boys and we'll be hanging out up there. I've been riding my Powerlite lately since I finished it. I could very well be on the GT though too :-)

Most of em aren't that big, you dont actually have to jump anything if you dont want to. You can ride most of the trails without jumping gaps. Im 16 and I can still probably do only as much as you guys can, I suck at gap jumping ![]()
