$20.00 Yardsale find
Found this at a Yardsale in Sun City Ca. ,local to my house. Apparently it has been in a shed for over 20 years according to the family. I took it apart, waxed it, re-greased all the bearings, OA on the forks and sprocket, added the NEW Oury blue grips, and put some roller tires on it so I could ride it. Really cool Two Wheeler Magnum Stroker for $20.00! Can somebody tell me what year this is, and why the head tube sticker is different than the ones I have seen in the past or in the bike section for Two Wheelers? Thanks, Rob

I'll bet the OA bath almost wasn't needed; Hemet/Temecula/Palm Springs = so dry.
Awesome find!

Re: $20.00 Yardsale find
Yeah, there was just a little surface rust on the forks and sprocket. I couldn't believe this bike when i saw it, it hadn't been stripped of all the normal stuff that WE all took off of our bikes, reflectors, chain guard etc. Somehow this bike was not molested at all! The only thing I can think of is, it didn't have any tires on it when I bought it, the back rim was sitting next to it. I'm thinking someone had intended to replace the tires and tubes many years ago and never got around to it, so the bike got put in the shed and because it didn't have tires, it never got pulled out and rode. That's the only thing I can come up with. I was in the market for a Mongoose Motomag, and I found this instead! Crazy how nice this bike is, very short top tube, makes my 1979 Schwinn Scrambler seem long! LOL

Holy hell. Stroker 77 will kill for this. ![]()
I can not sit still. I have been tested for A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. and have neither. I don't need coffee, I just need a B.M.X. or surfboard to consistently ride and I'll be happy.

Re: $20.00 Yardsale find
The Ashtabula cranks will have a little 2 digit year stamp on the nub that sticks through the chainwheel. There's a 2 digit stamp on each side of it,one makes sense as the year, the other is probably 40.Also,no brake bridge would be '78 or older,if memory serves.

Re: $20.00 Yardsale find
WoW! That is nutz ! Well done on a very cool score.
Mine has no brake bridge (well it does but was added buy the owner) and the stamp on the bottom says 77. Whats weird is the headtube sticker is from the Two Wheeler Pro. That came out around 79.
Whatever, that's a damn fine ride. ![]()
