Beware of international shipping!!!!
As many of you may know I shipped a very cool GHP Factory team jersey to the UK. The member said it did not arrrive within 30 days. He asked for proof of shipping and I provided it. Soon after he filed a paypal claim which Paypal asked me for any and all information that I have. Yesterday I was informed by paypal that I would have to pay the $160 back to the member for the item. So now im out $160 plus $11 shipping and no Jersey. The sad part is that someone could recieve it and still file a claim saying they never recieved it. With regular US mail the tracking only works here in the US. The only way of tracking it in other countries is to pay for first class shipping which in my case would have cost about $30 exrtra for a padded envelope. SOOOOOOO pay for the first class and agree on this before you ship international. Learn fom my mistake.

Re: Beware of international shipping!!!!
That is exactly the reason why some of us will only ship Express mail overseas.... No Ifs, No Buts.
I rather loose the sale before agreeing to any other shipping method.

Re: Beware of international shipping!!!!
Some people get twitchy when stuff doesn't turn up from abroad when they think it should. I have had parts in a matter of days but i am aware it can sometimes be 4, 5, 6 weeks or even longer on rare occasions. It always hard to have faith with someone you dont know personally and i guess the buyer felt nervous just as you do now, expecting the worse
Hopefully the jersey will reach your buyer and he will do the right thing ![]()

Have you tried the USPS tracking number in the UKs postal service tracking site? I ask because I can track USPS tracking numbers in Canada Post's site once the item arrives in Canada.
Sorry to hear about your misfortune with shipping internationally.

There are enough people in the U.S. and Canada to sell to. I refuse to ship over seas under any circumstances.
Can you pm me the members name. I am curious.

http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=453761 no reason for pm's jimmyp. I have had many customers wait on an item and never once not trust me...yes it showed up. Keep in mind gents thisis why many US sellers do NOT send items overseas.

Re: Beware of international shipping!!!!
you know usually right about now i would say F Jimmyp but i just went through my own little bad experience with an U.S. seller that sent something to me First Class with no delivery confirmation or tracking info and i didn't recieve it either. I'm still hopeful that somehow it will show up but I am not even certain if it was even ever shipped at all so I kind of relate to jimmy now. first time this has happened to me so it's funny how things happen I guess. If I do get the part though I will gladly repay for it and hope Jimmy does the same thing.

Re: Beware of international shipping!!!!
I think it just sucks that buyer and sellers can be dis honest.
We are all here trying to do the same thing and then you get the small % of dishonest people and they fuk it up for the rest of us.
Ive never had a problem like this thankfully and have a few usps parcels take up to two months but i managed to track there where abouts.
I also sent two parcels to Australia once, one got there in 4 days and the other still wasn't there in two weeks. The customer started stressing a little so i put a track on that for him and found out it was sitting in customs in Australia and the post office had put the wrong label on it.But it got to the customer and he was happy as.

Re: Beware of international shipping!!!!
Its been 60 days now and still nothing!!
Best thing to do is post the pics of the top on every Old School BMX Site and get people to keep an eye out for it. The old school BMX Community is a small one and the top cant stay underground for ever. Somone from either USA POST company OR UK POST company has it and will try and sell it or pass it on sooner or later.
I want to get to the bottom of this as much as wbasulto AS IVE TAKEN ALOT OF FLACK FOR NOT RECIEVING IT AND PUTTING IN A CLAIM TOO SOON. Which maybe was correct but as i say its been 60 days now and still nothing.![]()
I was gonna give it till a few more days then post my own thread about trying to find it but wbasulto has beat me too it.
Like i said if we all keep an eye out it will turn up sooner or later it has to be somwhere?
Im sorry wbasulto for posting a claim early but i genually thought i had to do it before 30 days like on ebay. I hope the top turns up sooner rather than later and you get it back and i for one will be keeping an eye out and asking around for you.
If anyone does find it or see's it or is offered it contact wbasulto and then the Police Straight away as it is stolen goods and whoever has taken it needs to be arrested and charged for Theft ![]()

Its a distinctive top and cant stay missing forever. Please if you are a member on any other Old School BMX Sites post these pics and that the top is stolen or missing in the post system!!!!

Re: Beware of international shipping!!!!
Hard lesson learned for both. Never ship if you can't track. The seller will always lose. Sucks but true. Been on both ends with international. Now I won't ship with in the US or anywhere with out tracking. I have never had a complaint from a customer about the rates for priory or express w/ tracking.

I still say crap on the buyer's part. Selles's responsibility is to ship. If you're worried it won't arrive, offer to pay extra for insurance.

Similar thing happened to me. I shipped, and have proof to Australia, and the parts never showed- 2x. Now, no more shipping overseas, unless buyer pays full amount, and whatever the amount for tracking.

Re: Beware of international shipping!!!!
I sent some cranks to a member and had no issues at all. But would I ship overseas again. I don't think I would just cause of the paperwork and worrying if its gonna get there, or if the guy is gonna be honest about. I was lucky and it actually only took about a week for his cranks to arrive.
