Nicely shaped gusset
Tange forks
Complete with original parts + the bars and seat (not pictured sorry)
The red Z-rims are an extremely nice find..... ![]()

Re: 1981 Morrison Dirt-Buster
Cheers guys, yep definitely an extremely nice find.....
umm, but after a visit today to a mate to pickup some powdered parts for some HMX's Im building..... I have started to think this might be an earlier 78-79 Comet opposed to the dirtbuster, only reason I say that is because I got these brochure photos recently, original from back in the day showing the different models
Dirtbusters had a triangle rear end opposed to the looptail shown here
So Im thinking the looptails are comets and the triangle rear ends are dirtbusters as shown
I have also added a couple more brochures of other NZ BMX's and bike available back then in the 80's, interesting info ![]()

Re: 1981 Morrison Dirt-Buster
Ok, oops.....posted the NZ bikes and BMX's first, sorry
Here are the Dirtbuster and Comet pics, very cool info
Also after saying the differences in the rear ends, it looks like comets came in the triangle rear ends too as shown
Interesting stuff..... I also have found lots of NZ BMX to be varied in components and colours over the time
Some of them have standards and have been followed but some others look as if some bikeshops varied them a little and sold them off

Re: 1981 Morrison Dirt-Buster
The last frame from your first post is most likely a Kozumi-made frame - a company which made frames for Centurion, TBC Cobra and even Diamond Back. The rear Dropout is very characteristic and if you you look under the the Centurion bikes here in the museum you´ll find more similar signs...
