1980 Diamondback Pro
1980 Diamondback Pro

Found this all original 1980 Diamondback Pro. Had the frame and forks re-chromed and replaced most of the old parts with identical New Old Stock (NOS) parts to keep it Factory correct. Some of the original parts like the Ukai Rims and Suzue hubs were almost flawless so I left them on as they looked like NEW. Re-furbished and re-anodized the Sugino cranks and Nagaoka fluted seat post. Everything else.. straight NOS. This build is pretty much 99% factory original/correct. Only things not factory correct are the tires and grips. I replaced the badly worn out Oakley 1 grips for Tange grips since they are from the same era and look very similar. Plus I wanted to keep it ALL Japanese. I still have the original Mitsuboshi Competition III Yellow Label tires but they are red and a little worn out so I had to go black and replaced them with the repops.
