1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model
1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model
Immaculate Chrome Top Of The Line GT Pro Freestyle Tour
I need to mirror my 86 GT PWT build so this 87 GT PFTTM was conceived and will be a series of top of the line GT thru 88.
Triple chromed in Buena Park CA;
Original NOS GT spider & chainwheel;
NOS GT winged logo black seat (thanks to ToneCapone);
GT SR Sakae Stem (restored by the powdergod himself Chip Bowers);
GT epoch headset;
GT (non restored) 3 piece Power Series cranks;
Era correct GT tires, GT Seat Clamps, GT fork and frame standers;
NOS Dia Compe 990 rear breaks, NOS Dia Compe Nippon front breaks (w/ original GT logo brake pads)
Dia Compe tech 77 levers;
Odyssey Gyro (1st gen)
AME black bubble font tri grips;
GT superlace hubs front and rear
UKAI 20x1.75 Shiny Side
NOS Izumi black & chrome chain;
GT axle pegs;
SR 474 pedals
This is my sunday rider, very smooth and a lot of nostalgic comments from the onlookers here in SoCal.

Seriously. It' sbeautiful...
Only thing I can think of is Sr-474 Pedals, and maybe Arial Levers.
Not like it really needs it.
Other than that, it's perfect.

Re: 1987 GT Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model
WOW, a NOS black 87 seat? i think i just pee'ed alittle....amazing.... did you have the superlace wheels refinished? if so by who?
i see you put your power series crank decals on the same as me, after looking in the catalog i realized they are upside down...or did they come both ways??
also, what IS the correct way to have the brake cables? over the bars or through the bars?

1. superlace hubs refinished at islands powder coaters (el monte ca)
2. power series crank decals come both ways
3. over the bars 87 , through the bars 88
