1975 Mongoose Motomag
1975 Mongoose Motomag
(sold to mongoose drummer)
First year Mongoose. The bike that started it all!
Notice how the seat stay gusset is wider where it meets the seat tube than it is where it meets the seat stays in the last picture. This distinguishes it as a 1975 model (take note all of you who think you have a 1975). 1976 and later models did not have this!
Parts list:
1975 Mongoose frame
Ashtabula forks, neck, and cranks
Schwinn headset and seatpost clamp
Tuff Wheel 1`s
Cheng Shin front tire (original to the bike)
Swallow rear tire
Mongoose handlebars
Mongoose Winners Circle grips
Three Arrows sprocket
HTI pedals
Fujita seat
mirror polished aluminum seatpost
nickel plated KMC chain
Big thanks to crash-endo for the awesome polish job on the frame and seatclamp!
Still searching for my missing bikes from BITD. 1979 Blue Max serial: C19 221346 and 1977 Webco serial: WB 42667. Both last seen at Spoke and Sport Bicycles in Spokane, WA. around 1984. Reward if found!!
