1994 Gt Pro Freestyle Tour Team Model

I bought this bike recently on eBay, I had a 95 performer new, but when i got the catalogue this was the bike i had my pants down for! but it was well out of my price range. 17 years passed and i saw a friends Raleigh Burner on facebook and that ignited my interest, i could not believe that there was such a big following for these bikes. I’ve spent a year looking more and more at bikes and researching them. I decided it was a pro freestyle tour i wanted between 93-96. I’ve been looking for about 6 months, there has been 1 or 2 on the museum but ive always been a bit apprehensive about the overseas shipping thing. But nothing on eBay! Then last week out of the blue, this was on there. It’s never even been built up, the lad bought it as a frame and forks and it’s sat in his garage ever since. Its never had any components fitted to the frame. And the decals are all original.

It obviously doesn’t need a resto, its spanking! but i want to do a proper job and i want it exactly as it should have left the factory all them years ago. I paid slightly over the odds, but how often do these come up? I haven’t got the money to just get all the parts at once and some bits like the wheels ect will take a fair bit of trying to find anyway. That and the fact that my Mrs will go bananas if she finds out how much the bits are going to be! it’s likely to take a good bit of time. i will post progress and pics on here as it progresses.
