Re: Ruest factory

The Reust Factory's never seem to bring big money.  Kind of an underrated mid school frame I think and there aren't many around.

They made the tripod in all sizes. Not sure on production numbers but more rare then the regular reust frames imo.

There are just as many mini's here as there are the 1st gen pro frames, they all seem rare to me. lol  I sold my buddy the 93' pro frame I had, the serial # was 001 too.

I don't know for sure but I think they used Free Agent forks, Free Agent was the company that welded them up.

Yeap, nailed it. Brian Reust had Free Agent make these frames for him. The pro models were simply Limo's with the cross bars on the chainstay/seat tube. I had a chance to ride local trails with Brian and Cowboy when he first started making the frames. They were cool back then and still cool,  and in my opinion one of the most under-rated framesets.

Re: Ruest factory

The 1st gen RF frames w/ the 1" head tube and complete seat tube are a bit more common than the later 1 1/8" w/ cut away seat tube Pro frames.  The die cut decals on the earlier frames can easily be made at any sign shop.  Unfortunately, the later frame set decals are not as easily reproduced and are very hard to find still intact on one of these rare frames.  Very, very cool design from Nor Cal.  Love to have one of the RF 24's.

The decals on the 1st gen RF Pro below were made at a sign shop in Sacramento. 19.5" TT

These decals are original on my 2nd gen RF Pro-R below.  20 3/4" TT
