Re: BMXMuseum Build Off Comment Thread
Hey Rob,
I have the dept store buildoff going right now with 4 of my bikes entered into it. Can I submit 2 of them to this build also or do I have to pick out different bikes that aren't in another build? I was thinking of entering the Futura and maybe the Jetter. If not then I have a StreetBeat, TrickFox, PFT and s few others in mind that I could possibly complete by then.![]()
Oh, and I hate you for posting those pics...
I would donate my dog for either one of them!![]()

Re: BMXMuseum Build Off Comment Thread
UPDATED 9/20
rebuilt my 2005 S&M RV 24" I had bought off Br8knrun.
Before pics...notice the crappy powder job from a previous owner

I had to cut out the Euro BB cups and retap the BB shell since they were rusted in place
So, the frame, fork, bars and cranks went to C4 Labs, and I started collecting parts. Sorry for the crappy cell pics, just wanted to share a preview
I wanted to do something different for brakes instead of my normal Avid brakes, decided against Paul's, so I went with these
I took my old wheels that had been on my Bulldog 24" and rebuilt them since the Black spokes and nipples got jacked up while the bike had been stolen
I wanted to add more color to my collection and decided I would go with something TOTALLY different in color for a S&M. C4 nailed the color ,I stripped the seat post clamp and polished it since it was scratched up, added a JW sprocket, Welgo magnesium pedals and a bunch of other new parts
Chip sent me this pic as a teaser
On 9/7 I started assembling it
Parts list:
2005 S&M RV 24" in Candy Teal from C4 Labs
S&M fork
S&M bars
Animal grips and bar ends
Avid Speed Dial SL Lever
S&M Race XLT stem
Odyssey headset
SDG Bel Air w Ti rails (might use the S&M Thin Seat?)
Ritchey seat post
S&M seat clamp stripped and polished (was the Black one on it originally)
Profile 180mm cranks
JW 40T sprocket
Profile Euro BB
Welgo Magnesium pedals
Wipperman chain
Origin8 Pro Lite V Brake
Animal Linear cable
SUN Rhyno Lite XL rims
DT Swiss spokes w DT Alloy nipples
Profile Racing cassette hubs w 17t
GT Speed Series chain tensioner
TIOGA Power Block 24x2.10 and 24x1.75 tires
I rebuilt this as a rider and the build off just happened to fall in time for it's rebirth, so I entered it. The ONLY original parts are the F/F/Bars/Crank arms and S&M Seat Post Clamp I stripped and polished
My cell doesnt even capture the color all that well since it's a lil Greener than the pics, but here it is...just waiting on a S&M headtube badge and possibly going to do some custom stickers?? Once I get a chance to get some real photos of it, I'll post it in the submission thread

Cool to see a build thread starting in the season of "you didn't build that".
Anyway, I'm waiting on my Skyway 24 frame and fork. I might just submit that when I get it to give me some needed motivation to get it finished.
