I LOST MY BEST BRO PLEASE READ
Last Sunday August 19 2012 Jan Edison jr otherwise known as DRCHOPPER passed away at the young age of 40 years old. He went by J.P. or Junior to those close to him. Jp has been my best friend for 26 years we first met during our high school days and spent all of our free time working on old VW`s and BMX bikes, we were also co workers for many years including present day after we got out of high school. When we were kids everyday after work we would go practice riding wheelies it was something we loved doing even to this day it was all about the wheelies. It has taken me a few days to get myself together enough to write this because as anyone that has lost someone close can tell you when something like this happens to you it is an emotional roller coaster of hell. I have tried to stay connected to the museum as a way of keeping it together as I still have to function as a father and husband. J.P. loved his family, friends and BMX more than anything in life. He is probably most noted here on the museum for his love for S&M bikes and was a regular on the hoarders thread. My bro was the kind of person that always had your back for his friends and he lived by two simple rules that he taught me and I also live by, "Living well is the best revenge" & "Give till it hurts" these rules J.P. lived by every day of his life. Any of you that had the good fortune to meet J.P. in person would probably agree that he was a Damn cool and geniune person. J.P. gave me my nick name of "Super D" many years ago this I will carry with me my whole life. Please pray for my bro I loved him dearly and it`s fu#(ing killing me not having him around. Jp would want me to push forward and contnue doing what we loved, riding BMX and that is what I will continue to do. Please treat me the way you normally would and feel free to ask me any questions at any time about BMX I am happy to answer them. This site helps keep me going when I`m feeling down and communication is good for me right now. Thank you for taking the time to read this. "Super D"
This is the most recent pic I could find of me and my bro doing what we love most "Riding BMX"
We were real proud of our safety record without a OSHA recordable this day ![]()
My bro with his dog Roxy he loved that damn dog ![]()
J.P. with his five window we built hot rods together too. ![]()

Sucks dude, don't know what to say...Hang in there, time doesn't really heal wounds, but makes them more bearable. Just continue on as he would want.

I'm very sorry suicidepan , losing anyone is hard especially so young at the age of 40 . The best way to keep someone alive is to keep them in your words and memories . Post anything you have or want to talk about him . ![]()

Re: I LOST MY BEST BRO PLEASE READ
Great post and a great friend. I to have a handful of buddies I've been close to for 25 years this year, I couldn't imagine losing any one of them. My 10 year old son thinks he's got more Uncles than anyone. Your keeping him alive in spirit and with posts like these. Thank you for sharing the pic's and stay strong bro. It may not seem like it now but things will get better.

Sorry to read about the news man. As said above.."Hang in there, time doesn't really heal wounds, but makes them more bearable."
It's totally true and and I'm not sure you ever want to have the wounds healed, because the bond is so deep. I dig the 2 life mottos you guys live by, it's a great way to live, man.
Good luck to ya and celebrate him with a ride and a wheelie every chance you get. ![]()
