Rare Old School Freestyle builds Thread! Let's see'em!
I'm not looking for anything after 1988. 1984-1988 only
I've seen over the last couple years threads on new builds with rarer OS bikes, but then they kinda get sold or whatnot. Let's see some fresh picts from current owners of some of the rarer freestyle builds. No rehashed picts from before, date stamps encouraged!!
Oh yeah, I'm not looking for Picts searched on the internet, only if they're YOUR bike.
I'll list a few of the ones I'm thinking of:
VDC Freestyler
GJS Freestyler
Free Agent Freeflite
SE Quad Freestyler, PK Ripper Freestyle & SE Trickmaster
Profile Prostyler
GHP Trix
Robinson Freestyler
Powerlite Freestyler
Vector Freestyler
Torker Freestylist
82-84 Haro Master/Sport
CW California Freestyler
Kuwahara Exhibitionist
MCS Styler
88 Diamondback Strike Zones- Woody or Dominguez models
Please no GT Performers/Dynos/Redlines/Hutchs/Schwinns or after 84 Haros. It's not that there aren't many nice ones out there, they've been posted multiple times.
I'll start the thread with one of mine, but I'll have to get newer picts when I can get around better.
85 Profile Prostyler

Finally found 1 magenta pink 880, now to find the rear one

If Relic was still around, I'm pretty sure he could have just about completed your whole list.
We'll have to get Quinnonesm to post up his Torker Freestylist.

Re: Rare Old School Freestyle builds Thread! Let's see'em!
I have a few more on that list that I will be posting shortly. I've been taken outta moving around outside the house much until I heal from my appendix surgery. They couldn't go laproscopically so old school method for me. I'll be posting more, just thought I'd give others a chance to post some recent shots of the bikes they own.

Not trying to high jack the thread (I don't have shlt to share) but is it true that Robinson put out a freestyle bike? I've seen the one submitted recently but can't believe it. Do you know the history behind it? ..It must have driven Chuck Robinson (RIP) insane, had to have been GT's idea.
No one rides the bench.

Re: Rare Old School Freestyle builds Thread! Let's see'em!
I believe I've only seen 2 Robinson freestylers but they were different frame designs. The one that was just posted is the only 1 I've seen around, but it may have been from a previous owner.

1987 CW California Boulevard Stunt Vessel (SV) Serial code. The only Cali/Stunt Vessel I've seen with this '87 decal option other than a one-time ad CW took out shortly before they closed up shop.

Here is a grainy pic from the 1987 Freestylin' mag I mentioned.

Re: Rare Old School Freestyle builds Thread! Let's see'em!
Here are the 2 picts I have of Robinson Freestylers. 1 is most likely before the member Chromey mentioned above got it and the other I don't remember where I got it from. Strange to see 2 different frame designs. Of course the blue one could be something else with Robinson forks and decals added.

Nope, GT didn't take over Robinson until late 86.

Re: Rare Old School Freestyle builds Thread! Let's see'em!
I bought the 85 Robinson freestyler only a few months ago while at the worlds in Germany .. Here Is a better photo ..
i have put this next to and measured the tubes against my other Robinsons and it's exactly the same ..apart from the small gusset and stand near the seat ..
its the only one I've seen ..
It even has the frame number on the dropout of I know Is a Robinson number and FS stamped next to it ..
Most of the parts apart from the Tuffs and brakes are GT
And OG decals . ![]()
