Re: 1997 DYNO Compe Restoration

I picked up almost the identical Dyno off of CL.  Im new to this and am looking forward to restoring my Dyno Compe.  Question though.  If your going to peel the stickers off and replace them, why would you not do that before the OA bath?

3M rubbing compound works wonders! I need some. Where did you pick that stuff up? Home depot?

Where did you get this sticker set.  I cannot find any Dyno Comp stickers for the life of me.  Does anyone have a lead on this for me?

Re: 1997 DYNO Compe Restoration

No Lie, This is probably the "Best Restoration" from start to finish I ever seen. I been Building, Customizing, restoring and Modifying Motorcycles, Dirt Bikes and recently got into these old school Bikes with my 3 sons. I have two 97 Dyno Compe's we are doing  this Summer and sorry, I have to steal your Idea. BAD ASS Brother. Check out my Business when you have time. We do it all and we Powder coat and customize old school Bikes also. You need, hit me up and we are very picky who we Hire. No worries. HAHA !

Re: 1997 DYNO Compe Restoration

Wow, I am pretty new to this Forum.
I just got into restoring old BMX bikes after years of restoring Dirt bikes and motorcycles with my 3 Sons. I just restored 2 90's Dyno's, 86 GT Interceptor and 85 Mongoose M1, I powder coated them except for my 95 Dyno Compe which I polished up. They came out Great, But No lie, this is one of the Best Before and After Restores I have seen and I have been on tons of threads. I probably wouldn't attempted this one. Too much work for me.... Incredible Job !
