1989 GT Pro Series
1989 GT Pro Series
New life for my old bike.
This is my 1989 GT Pro Series. I purchased it new and built it from the frame and forks up. It was the second race bike I ever owned, the first was a Mongoose Expert (still looking for that one). Ive raced local and NY state races for years and even did nationals for a year. When I quit I let my brother use my bikes to race, it's just to bad he didn't take very good care of them. He also changed them up, had a big heavy neck with a brake rotor, ugly pedals, etc. And when I got them back they were rough looking and covered in rust. I cleaned them up and replaced the parts with my originals, they look much better but they still need more TLC. My 7 year old son just started racing so he's currently using the GT to start with. I love all the attention it gets at the track, I wanted to get him a new bike for next season but this one has almost become his identity now. Anyhow here is the run down of parts to the best of my knowledge.
