here is my other one serial number 001 20"    this one is going back to og. scott told me the og color was blue plus he had one last set of nos forks for it and a couple of sets of decals for it.

Yup ... it was my brother's deal; I guess I had a little to do with it (mostly the graphics).

The company was actually named Seventys, and the frame name was the "Schwing" - not only a play on Schwinn, but also a tribute to Wayne's World (one of our favorite movies at the time).  It was made by Scott's friends at Ruest Factory - Gary Elmoore?. At the time, they were also making the first Seventys "Barrette Bros" bolt-on sidehacks.

The frame was based around Ruest Factory geometry (and jigs) - and gave a nod to the classic Schwinn cantilever frame, but we had them make an "X" out of the curved braces. Because of that "X" in the cross-braces, it was later referred to as the "Racer-X"  (a nod our favorite cartoon growing up).
Guess you could say it was one of the first "old school look / modern-day geometry" frames.
The rear stays, obviously, were a tribute to Reach frames - which we always thought were really cool looking.  And if I recall, the forks were a nod to RRS - and in another attempt to be cool, we named them "Phront Phorx."  (Perhaps a brotherly tribute to our mom; who's name is Phyllis).

You'd have to ask Scott how many of these frames were made - probably less than a 100?  He made them in 20", 24" and I think even a few 26" crusiers. 

My part in it was mostly designing the decal packs for it - using the ABA's high-tech computers and their CorelDraw program .. state of the art graphics, back then!  heh heh.
"Seventys" was on the downtube of the frame, and the "Schwing" headtube badge was a nearly identical decal to the infamous Schwinn badge.

Since I was editor of ABA's BMXer magazine at the time, I gave it some mentions in the new product seection, and eventually Scott got a "cease and desist" letter from Schwinn's lawyers.  I guess they didn't apprecriate our "nod of approval" or acknowledgement to their BMX history.

Gork took the photo at the ABA Grands and Scott (Gork's bro) took the pic at the Stockton Nationals.  I have a Haro Lightning Bolt plate in the outdoor pic and a limited edition Racer X plate on the indoor pic.
