Who is your bike's nemesis
I always felt like Ford vs Chevy that there were bike companies that competed head to head. For me it was Redline vs Hutch. That being said, I love Redline's and my second fave would be Hutch.
So who us your bike's nemesis?

Re: Who is your bike's nemesis
Growing up a GT guy, it was Haro. Now, as an S&M guy, I guess I am supposed to say Standard bikes, but I just don't feel that way. Personally, I feel the need to support all companies that make their stuff in the U.S.

Buying or trading for ANYTHING related to New York regiments of the civil war. Particularly the 6th NY Heavy Artillery. Everything I own is on the table for this stuff. Pictures highly sought!

Re: Who is your bike's nemesis
i never had one of those.. never paid much attention. in the 80s i paid more attention riding my bike instead of crying about other bikes i didnt have. I loved my bike and raced the hell out of them and every year i would buy another bike and some times it was the same and other times it was what ever was on sale that week.

Re: Who is your bike's nemesis
The streets themselves are my bike's nemesis. Most days I can't go more than 2 miles without getting a flat.
If you find a F/S or trade ad from me, ignore it. If you send me a PM and I don't reply right away, I'm not ignoring you - just busy at the moment.
Do I owe you feedback? Please remind me via PM and I'll take care of it.

Duh, Hutch. I'm into a bunch of different brands, but Hutch bikes ride like crap (except for Trick Stars and Judges).

Re: Who is your bike's nemesis
Mine is:
-car drivers getting in the way, and being on every street I take even if it's the middle of nothing.
my bikes arch villain:
- so far no other bike started anything with my bike. I guess I can say, glass and nails are the main villains of the bike.

Maybe early on, but by the 80s they veered away from the same price point and quality, Redline went up Mongoose started going down. I would say Hutch was more neck and neck.

This seems perfect, they were great then both started a steady decline at around the same time and were about the same price point and general popularity.
