You say that ^ as if building a Skyway in red, white and blue is a bad thing. Do SE lovers catch SH!T over building their bikes up in baby blue/brown? The list goes on and on for each Company, let it go already. Bottom line is that we as a community enjoy this hobby because of the traditional bikes that we have grown to love (and their traditional colors).  I can't ever say that I will ever enjoy an avocado green Skyway TA  just for the sake of building something "different"

Re: Skyway 24" Builds thread..

bones that came out really nice. One of the very first bikes I built when I got into this hobby was a chrome PL-24 with black alloy flange Tuffs (which Ed now owns) and red Comp IIIs...and your bike just brought back fond memories.

BirdDog I agree 100%...certain bikes just look "right" in certain color schemes. Yellow and blue DGs, red or white Redline Prolines, tan and brown SEs, chrome, black and yellow Torkers...the factories spent a ton of time and money building those images and if they did their job right it sticks with you.
Yes there will be a ton of red, white and blue Skyways...but they wouldn't look right in any other color.

It's a RETRO.

I can kinda see the "clown" label tagged to an old school bike, but something brand new? roll

I guess Sunday's Aaron Ross bikes are "clown" bikes, too. Or any new school complete, for that matter.

Hell, at least clowns ride their bikes. tongue

Every bike you have posted is color coordinated with the frame & decal colors, you even have some colored spokes & tires too, so it's OK for you but not skyway fans?

Looking for some reasonably priced Revcore parts for a Hutchins build.

Re: Skyway 24" Builds thread..

if you dig it, then the build is correct.  If ya don't, buy your own and do it up.

I know people get stoked to show their stuff off, myself included, but get's a bit redundant if ya got the same jokers flappin their gums that retro this and clowns that.....keep it to yourself.  You're wasting bandwidth that GAry is paying for.
