Re: Euro bb help !
Thanks for the input 84laserlite. I can't really see the spindle on your crank but yours looks like U.S BB ?? . The problem I am having is I have Euro bb with a square tapered spindle & I don't know what (decent) crank to get that will fit it . I bought a 1984 Tioga rhino charge frame in mint condition and its nearly complete, apart from this problem . I am just not familiar with the Euro BB....I have not touched a Bmx for over 25 years. So im a noob.
Sorry for the late reply mate. Nice build by the way, frame yours originally or have you picked it up ?

Re: Euro bb help !
Picked it up ,stripped it down and yes 1979 Robinson has Euro B.B. Scott Clark signature edition square tapered spindle from Shimano ,was new too tinkering around with this configuration .Nice thing is just about any old crank arms that are square work ,I traded for cheaper Shimano arms and friend came up with the bolts which are specifically made to bolt on crank arms. Easy peasy, just now I need to pick up some dust caps .Not necessary but completes the look .With all the colors black, chrome ,red ect give it a little pop color wise . Getting B.B. screwed in perfectly from each side was only tricky part I encountered .Not much surface to get crescent wrench on to thread,so to keep things stable wrapped frame in cloth and put in vice so I could get some torque . Used Phil wood grease ,tighten each side till spindle stops side to side movement. Tighten too much it presses on spindle ..it wont turn at all, find that perfect medium between too much or too little. Hope this helps.

Re: Euro bb help !
I was thinking about getting a Redline flight crank with euro bb, but the bb ive got is fine and turns smoothly...How much did you pick your crank arms up for if you dont mind me asking ?. Yeah I have read on a few forums that it can be tricky fitting euro bb, you've just got to get it just so. Your advice has been helpful...Im making it a bigger headache than it really is really. Just dont want to be ordering of ebay and having to send back. Can you suggest a dealer where i could get a shimano crank & chainring from ?
Once again thanks for your advice .

Re: Euro bb help !
Just need to find arms bolts chain-ring / chain-ring bolts and your good to go if you already posses B.B. Ones I picked up were like 70.oo. Most like 70-130 $ range .Redline if your thinking 400 Sugino cranks 600.00 up? Spend y .Keep your eye open on bmx museum for sale section .Crank sets come up every day . Keep trade options open I have traded for both sugino cranks ,recently traded Ukia rim set for NOS Red anodized Sugino 600,with new in the box SR pedals.

Re: Euro bb help !
I went a bought a redline flight crank & euro bb to go with it today. The Euro bb i have is a ISO squared tapered spindle one, I have tried shopping around for crank to fit on ebay & in the museum sale site with no luck.. Anyway the redline flight is what i wanted originally, so i'm happy now and now can get on with the build. Hey Trinity thanks for the info javascript:insert_text('
