when i see a mongoose at walmart, i try and picture the metal being used to make something more useful, like a frying pan, or maybe some clothes hangers...oh well...its out of my hands.

That was after DG so I am not sure what model bikes they are on. Raleigh had someone build those frames for them since Raleigh was an English built bike back then. I actually sold Raleighs at a shop back in the early eighties and I think all the frames were made in Taiwan.

I have a DG super pro frame & forks that i raced in the 70's , looking to restore . I thought the head set or bottom bracket was an odd ball size . Looking for a stem and cranks . I had dura ace
cranks in the day. I also have some cook bros. items which I haven't seen a lot of. I also have a Steve Skeibel replica DG not sure about the name but he raced for DG in the 70's , I can't find a thing on him or the bike.

anyone who raced in Hawaii during 1976-1979 all knew of Jeff Bottema, my favorite shot of Jeff Bottema was doing a table top with his full face scott mask!!
Having a Jeff Botemma DG is a Dream come true!! really badass bike!!
