The purple tensioners pictured are the real deal, They came off of my old Floval Flyer. They came in a package deal that at one time was apart of a sales kit along with a some other great stuff and few othenot often seen parts like a long bullet valve cap and a cable stop that mounted to your seatpost clamp. Those were some rare tensioners, I have not until now seen another set. I for sure think the but would believe that these are made by Von. Over tt few years there hof someone lining these up and asking in threads on this very forum about what would people be willing to buy and what colors would they want. This is total crap these being repped as old stock...
I was one of the first people to question the authenticity but they are the real deal. I spoke with Lenord about them personally last week! The source and story behind them all back up too (per Lenord Von Giese I remind everyone).
I have a lot more info to release early next week. I think everyone will be pleasently surprissed. What about the 990 hangers--new product in 90's packaging?
They are also New Old Stock. They were produced during Leonard Von Giese's last part run. Not many, if any made it to the general public before VG stopped producing BMX parts.
The design is not patented, so Knight was able to produce a few years back.
I will have lots more info and exciting information posted early next week.

Ok I walked over to VG he has not released anything to nobody. If anyone is repop them there will be a lawsuit. Ncbbmx product has been in talks with them for over a year now. I saw the parts at the bike show and they are not repops.

Re: REPOP VG?
I have kept silent on this thread until now to see how things would unfold. I bought the first sets that surfaced on here, before all of the sets got posted up on ebay. I also was in contact with the seller before everyone started going CSI bmx on her.
I thought that the seller was 1vwnut on here because that's who I bought the tensioners from. When I asked, the seller told me,
"Ha! I am none of them. I sold a bunch at a bike show over the weekend and those may have been the resales?! I am listing tensioners AND canti straddle holders in EVERY color rite NOW."
I messaged her back asking where she got all the stuff and she replied,
"I had a bike shop years ago and now...it's like I have a bike shop"
She went on to tell me that she had a lot of stuff in storage and was working on getting it out...Then when everyone started going nuts, I just sat back and watched to see what she listed. Since she had several sets listed in each color in "buy it now" style auctions and I saw a few other people were selling the same style tensioners, I was slightly suspicious. Then I did some thinking.
I knew from prior knowledge from the vg ads that they had made a tensioner that style. I also knew that I'd never seen a set for sale and the only set that I'd ever seen was kcmobmx's purple set. So I thought IF someone was going to repop a VG part WHY this set of tensioners??? And HOW would they have done it??? I'm not super knowledgeable on CNC, but I would assume that they would need a example of the part to copy it. Considering that it's a rare style of tensioner that I had only seen one other set, I'm not too sure that they would have had access to a set. Also, IF someone was going to repop that particular set of tensioners, WHY would they put the VG logo on there? All of the pictures from the ads and kcmobmx's purple set did not have VG etched into them. So IF they were trying to copy it, why would they add something to the part that wasn't there on the other known examples? That made no sense to me. If they were trying to make copies, they would try to make them EXACTLY the same. Also, WHY that style of tensioner? Why wouldn't they pick the much more recognizable style spur tensioner? There are plenty of those sets around and they would be easier to copy.
So I am ASSUMING that the tensioners that have popped up are either NOS from a late run of VG parts before they shut up shop, OR Von is making parts again and he made these new tensioners.
As far as why multiple sellers had the same tensioners, the ebay seller said that she sold some stuff at a bike show that weekend and the other sets that have popped up could be re-sales of her product. That makes sense to me because the seller is from California, 1vwnut is from California, and the other ebay seller is from California as well.
AS A DISCLAIMER, I AM NOT A EXPERT...DON'T TAKE MY OPINION AS FACT...As I read everyone else's opinion (and sometimes overreaction) in this thread, I took it as a grain of salt...You know what they say, "Opinion's are like a-holes, everyone has one!"
No offense to the newbs on here, but there are only a few collectors in here who's opinions hold any weight in my eyes and those people are Jacob and Darren. Jacob because of his extensive VG collection and Darren because he's been collecting mid stuff in Cali forever...

I plan on and will release all the info I have. I am on a layover in Phoenix right now, but I will be putting together a Ton of information starting tomorrow. So much that my head is spinning! In a good way!
Leanord saw the parts at the bike show 2 weeks ago (he only stayed for 20 mins). And he saw them again last night when we had dinner to discuss the future of VG Precision Components. ![]()

That's exactly what it sounds like. While I would love to see some new designs and see VG back in BMX, just not at the cost of the devaluation of my VG collection. It will be interesting to see what happens.

The guy selling the parts at the last swap meet was Judd Kincade. He even had an original banner with the original VG # on it. He said it was New old stock that had been forgotten about. He and i spoke on the phone on monday about me purchasing some more parts he had in his storage. He indicated to me the only parts he had left were some brake levers some spiders and a bunch of bar ends. Im not sure whos who on ebay but i will call him and find out whats going on !
The seller bicyclegirl72 who had the multiple listings of tensioners, cable hangers, and the single purple levers name on the account is Mindy Kincaid, so that info jives with them being the sellers at the bmx show where 1vwnut got his tensioners...
