I'm glad that thread got started. I do not know enough about VG myself to make the arguement, but I have noticed the inordinate amount of NOS items available recently. Just didn't seem right to me.

OK I WILL SAY IT AGAIN THE NEW STUFF IS MADE BY KNIGHT. LOOK AT THE HANGERS SIDE BY SIDE.. also why is the hanger the only one with the BIN option and everything else is on auction they never made a hanger and when did they ever make a non spur tensioner?

yes tehy did. these are exact copies as far as i can tell if they are copies that is but thats not hard to do at all. hell if i had a original in my hand i could have a few copies by tonight

sorry was typing on my phone YEs i know they made a hanger look on page one that is the only style hanger they made. they also made a boomerang for pitbulls that looks very similar to the hanger they are saying is NOS , i will pull up the 1/16 page add they had as soon as i have some time it showcased everything they made in black and white and in that photo you will not see any non spured tensioners or a hanger that looks like that the original hanger had five bolts on it not one

here is a little guide that these people should follow

NOS = new OLD stock

NS = new stock

REPOP= same design made by a different person

lets be clear as to what it is we are doing

I just jumped on E-bay, put in VG under "Old School BMX Parts" and a whole slew of stuff came up. 3 months ago, when I was looking for framesavers-nothing, zero. Hope they're real for people looking now, otherwise

and why hasent anything been made by knight is some time maybe a shutdown for retooling to ramp up production on VG that is a dead on knight hanger open your eyes before the wool is pulled over them FAKE FAKE FAKE

just go on ebay and say these sellers are selling fake items cause to the best of real riders eyes these are not the same vg parts from back in the day

its like they made the three parts that can still be used in the new school setting forgetting why everyone wanted the stuff in the first place to build that old bike they always wanted

now the market is flooded with shite VG parts

This thread makes me glad I have sold off most of my VG stuff. The only VG I have left is the stuff on my bikes and a few misc. parts that I know are real.

Looks like recently made VG items. Knight used VG among other companies to make parts like stems, spyders and the brake piece in the past. Looks like VG is branding the brake piece as their own now.

I think its just like anything else,once people see the prices of a item they realize they have some lying around.I have found over 10 headlocks and several other vg item locally in a town of 60,000 in the last year?
