heavyweight build off . lets hear your thoughts on how to start one!
sure lots of Midschool bikes would be a fave to win. but don't rule out some of them old 70's BMX or the new school puss bikes like the Mongoose hoop D ![]()
I thought it would be fun to show off them tank builds.
this build is open to any stock 20" bike any year. you think will be heave enuff to take the tittle!
if we get enuff of each decaded/year group say 70's ,80's, 90's 2000 up.
then we brake them in to groups bassed on year.
winners of a set decade/year. willl then go head to head. with the winners of the other decades for the over all win!
in the even of a tigh. in a set class. tigh brakers will be voted on by all members base not on just waight but looks. so if it looks like shit. then it is shit! the votes should prove that.![]()
I will give the over all wining bike builder a frame as first place prize![]()
+ there will be a best in show voted on by museum members.please vote fare no buddy/friend vots!
thats a uncool move.
there should be a 1,2 and 3rd best in show + a 1 , 2 3rd heavest in show win. if enuf bikes enter? ![]()
you can enter no more tha 3 bikes in the build off! so feal free to try for a three peet win
yes bike can all ready be built. but you most clean it / do something a little diff with it in the contest time frame.
heavyweight bike build entry / submission post http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.p … 1#p3676071
=======================================================================
so how should we get this heavyweight build off going down on the museum?
lets hear how it should go. post your thoughts.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
please post up your finished heavyweight bike build off entry bikes
in this link http://bmxmuseum.com/forums/viewtopic.p … 7#p3924147
make sure to post 1 ride picture to show it really is built to ride.
post as many pictures as you feal you need to show off your bike build.
post 1 picture of your bike being weighed on some kinda scale

Wow I'd definitely be in for that buildoff... I have my '02 S&M Bennett I've been wanting to redo and this would give me a great reason to get into it.
It'd be hilarious to have a "Fattest Bike" catergory, the heaviest bike takes it ![]()

well I just picked up a NOS powerlite toxic to build... wasn't plan on making it heavy but frame fork and bars weigh a bunch so it will be a tank no matter what I do.

I think we should have more than one class other than weight. Cuz if we just doing weight I'll get a Tony hawk bike and fill the frame full of concrete... ![]()

That's good.
Yeah I mean the really take off in, what the mid to late 90's through probably 2005 or so when they started drastically slimming that stuff down. Bmx stuff never really got that heavy or beefy but freestyle really ran with the idea that bigger is better, so it'd be hard to do the whole freestyle/bmx catergory, unless the bmx stuff was the super early boat anchors.

If we get enuff off diffrent year bikes. we can brake them up in to groups by year!
or if we get enuff say race bikes we may have a class for Just BMX race and one for Freestyle BMX.

I'm out. It would be unfair of me to unleash this beast on all of you. I think it would crack 40# with a chromo seat post and some pegs.

back in the day the gt aggressor freestyle , i think was the heaviest bike or atleast it seemed that way when i had one
i'm sick of people lowballing and changing their mind after the details of item were given then asking for money off or refund . now all items are sold as is no returns ask all questions before dibbing .
