Re: Ikonix bike

is it full chromoly?... Seems way to many "old school" style bikes today are trimoly and therefore perfectly USELESS to try and ride, since I could bend a trimoly frame in weeks when I weighed 140pounds... And I don't weigh 140 anymore...

If I bought one, I would ride it.

Re: Ikonix bike

Usually I love all chain wheels, small big, straight and gay.
But that one on the Ikonix frame is just overly camp for the sake of it and asking for trouble!!...cool frame..cool

IMO ... Bob Haro is a creative genius, and I'm sure he's spent many sleepless nights thinking through every minute detail.  Yes, the square tubing is cool & the twin top tube ... Awesome, BUT ... Also look at the fine details ... From the pic it looks like Tioga style POOL tires?  Check out the links on the chain!!!  Check out the top of the seat tube!!! I only see the seat post tube - no clamp ... Has Bob set a new standard for that aspect as well?

Plain and simple ...we Americans want things right here/right now.  Anything from a BMX icon such as Bob Haro is WORTH THE WAIT!!!  Thrilled to watch it unfold as he knows better than we do smile

I'm not writing this thing off yet... if I like it I'll more than likely buy one.

Oh and I'll ride it... because bike's were meant to be ridden.

So, something you don't understand you call Gay, and when you get called out for being an ass you call someone else a Jackass? You're the only one doing the insulting here, effin taint.

Oh, I get it.  I must have offended some of you alternative lifestylers by using that word.  Well, my bad. I hope the PC police don't come and get me.

Did someone call me? hmm

Re: Ikonix bike

I have a feeling he's doing a "new school" bike.  That is where BMX is.  Bob has always been about looking forward, not backward.  If he's trying to start a new company, I think he wound be short sighted to do a retro bike.  The only backward looking he did, the retro stylers, didn't really pan out.

I'm sure it will look cool. Will it appeal to enough of us old timers to fork over the money? Doubtful

Who would actually go doing tricks on it if it's a limited edition. Kind of ridiculous.

No one just like I never saw the limited edition Redline Platinum used for anything other than display.

Take a minute to understand who Bob Haro is.  He has earned the right to do whatever the hell he wants concerning selling bmx anything.

I wouldn't be here today if the old school didn't pave the way.
