Picked up A Kuwahara Today with some decent parts on it.....

I Was Able to pick this Kuwahara Up Today. I Drove about 45 minutes one way to get the bike.  The Bike has some decent parts on it. Like The GT Mallet stem. I Believe the Bars are GT as well? The mags are some well used Skyway OE's. The Pedals are KKT. The Seat post clamp is a Suntour. The Seat post is a Kuwahara Laser post, and The Seat is a Kashimax Areo with the original Seat guts. The Bike also Has GT Frame standers on the rear. The bad news about the bike is someone messed with the SS # And used something to try to remove it and they did a very bad job. The Person I Picked the bike up from said he got the bike at a auction about 15 years ago. He Said it was mixed in with about 15 other bikes and he won the whole lot of bikes. He Said this Kuwahara was the only bike he had left. If I had of known about the SS# I may not of went to get the bike,But once I pointed that out to him he said what the heck and gave me the bike for next to nothing =  ) So I couldn't pass it up. Here is the bike.. http://i50.tinypic.com/353b488.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/2qjj6rp.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/2m5mlpk.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/iq8y2d.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/v86r9.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/6y2j9h.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/k1euq.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/2u55qq8.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/11ieh5j.jpg http://i45.tinypic.com/312zn87.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/2d16asx.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/dra7vr.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/e8ke83.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/34688ig.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/2ikwahs.jpg http://i49.tinypic.com/4pxlvq.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/a43510.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/so7778.jpg http://i47.tinypic.com/qnlnbo.jpg http://i50.tinypic.com/353b488.jpg

The bike has already been taken apart and will most likely be parted out very shortly..

LOL. The Guy I got the bike from said he bought it from some type Auction about 15 years ago. He said he won like a group lot of like 15 bikes and this one was in the group and it was the only bike he had left...

Parts are more exiting than the Nova frame at least there was up grade to Laserlight post . looks to of been hammered into oblivion that serial # Can't say I have ever seen allen bolts on seat guts before ,kind of cool. Mallet stem sold probably make more than what you have invested $.  Not bad like that seat post clamp, and forks. three or four hole's on forks? hard to tell.

The forks have 4 holes in them. The allen bolt seat guts are original to the seat. I also found out that the Bars Are Original Kuhahara Bars..

I am almost 100% sure that the bars are Kuwi bars. There are no markings on them anywhere. I pulled the grips and no markings. But the bars look identical to all the other ones on the 83 Novas posted in the museum..

I got the bike complety apart, and honestly other then the marks where the SS# was. The frame, and forks are in pretty decent shape.
