Re: NOS framesets

I have two sweet Hutch framesets. One is truly NOS. The other is NOS Show Mounted (Tiny tiny rear drop-out marks).  Both are beautiful frame sets. I'm very proud to own  both of them. Haven't decided if I will build them or not.

Re: NOS framesets

Hmmmm,  well I guess if it's new stock in the box it doesn't count, right?  Well if it did I'd have like 7, lol... But since we're doing NOS I guess only one of them would count here.... My 1988 Redline RL 20...

Re: NOS framesets

have a few, will never build them. if a 80's F/F has lasted this many years in NOS condition just leave the Fing thing alone... wink

the value of showing my kids and anyone else in 20 years what a NOS unmolested brand new frame looks like from the 80's is worth way more then my fat middle aged azz building it up and riding it. lol

if i want to ride one ill restore one of the THOUSANDS of used ones out there.history is priceless cool

Re: NOS framesets

As a collector with quite a bit of experience I would like to offer some advice, and input.

I collected a lot of framesets back in the late 90's and actually built up about 10 bikes or so.  All NOS and was having fun.  Same way guys still do it now.

However, priorities changes, and I got out of collecting.  All my bikes, parts, and NOS goodies went away.

Now, 12 years later, I decided to start collecting framesets.........just framesets.  I miss the parts, not complete bikes.  So picked my battles and chose frames.  Anyway, looking back I wish I didn't build some of what I did.

Take it or leave it.  It's simply my story.

EVERYTHING IS AVAILABLE.  LETS TRADE!!!!!

If you ever see something of mine you might want to trade for please hit me up.   Always looking to buy or trade and asking never hurts.

Re: NOS framesets

I used to have a few nos frames but always ended up riding them in the 90's, lately the only nos frame I have is a warpig from 97, and a wtf from last year. I did buy an almost new morales last month, it had been store built and taken apart but not ridden.I also have a 1988 gt pft complete that has only been store built in part, with most small components still in the box, that I dont plan on building, it will stand for all its sisters I killed in my youth:)smilesmile

Re: NOS framesets

Working on a deal currently to maybe own my first one and will more than likely keep it in the display box for at least a little while or at least while all the parts are collected. Going total high end, break the bank, max the credit card kind'a parts so it'll more than likely be in its box for quite some time wink

Would love to have a few more and hopefully will as money and time allows.
