Vintage BMX Bike at COBRA BMX at Heer Park

Sunday July 29, 2012

Registration 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Show 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

All 1970's, 1980's and 1990's BMX and Freestyle bikes are eligible to enter in the show (no classes for this years show). If sponsors donate prizes for the show, I will raffle off the prizes to the owners of the bikes who entered in the show.

Swap meet buy, sell, and trade

Yeah, he was set up next to me. Between me and bmxbri.

We are organizing a vintage race as well.
Probably just one moto with all vintage bikes.
Non usa-bmx members will be able to fill out a free, one day membership which will allow you to race.
Helmet required (full face suggested) long sleeves and long pants are encouraged although shorts with knee/shin guards are allowed.

Yes sir. I will be this year as well. I sold that goose back in the fall and I kinda regret it. This year I've got 2 bikes I'm planning on bringing....if they don't sell.

Ok is it safe to say there will be plenty of turnout at this one? I have 4 of my group coming with approx 15 or so bikes and stuff to sell. Who else is coming for sure?

I think I may have met you. What bikes did you have? I remember all the bikes, just not all the people.

I will be there FOR SURE. Also, last year was the first bike show I've ever attended/participated in and I felt like there were people walking around all day. Of course, there were motos all day as well. So that brought tons of people over.

For me, one cool thing that happened at last year's show is that I ran into an old friend from BITD. A kid I grew up with in Cleveland who used to race was there (well, he's not a kid anymore ). He had the sweetest JMC bike ever. Anyways, I hadn't seen the dude in probably 15 years---maybe more. Hell, it might have been highschool---so 91 was the last time. Anyways, I'm walking around over by the the track and I see this grey haired dude walk by with his wife and kids. I recognized him right away. We both did a double take. It was pretty funny. Turns out his family was down in Columbus from the Cleveland area because his son and daughter race. Very cool to run into the dude.

My point is....great event last year. Met some cool people, bought a few cheap parts for my signiture budget builds, and had an overall great day.

Count me in... I'll make the drive over to hang out with some great people, sell some stuff at good prices and showoff a bike or two. Is there preregistration for bikes or just the day of? Looking forward to it, see you guys in a week

Last year you registered that morning of the event..I think cut off was noon for some reason?I could be wrong though..I'm still unclear on whether there is a New School category?

Registration is the morning of---10-12

So do we have a roll call for this? Hopefully there will be at least as many people as last year. The more the better. Get the word out everyone!

I have the Kuwahara Hopper, FA Maverick ans FA Vortex both resto-mod father son builds, that I will be bringing. The other guys have the crazy rare stuff, cw's, JMC's, Hutch, etc... I ride all of mine, although I have been guilted into parking the Hopper for the most part. The last show we went to was in Akron a month or so back.

Just an idea, if someone has a contact at Heer Park, they need to get the show on the schedule along with the race so more people will know about it.
