1983 Tange Hot Heart

pretty sure that frame is a shogun frame, not a hot-heart frame - heart shaped cut out throws everyone off. check the shogun section of the museum. Did you buy that frame NOS?

I submitted it as a Shogun...moderators changed it...I still call it a Shogun.

Shoguns were made by Tange, and I believe tange also sold them as hot heart's. Sweet bikes- I sold a mint survivor a while ago and have wanted another ever since.

I bought the same frame in chrome two month ago but the downtube decal was missing. It is just a question of labelling the frame i.e. with tange stickers it is a hot-heart. With a round hole instead the heart it is most likely a Kuwahara KYZ or to make it even more complicated a SHOGUN.
But before 1984 they all have a ID with the Tange T in the front.

heres my view of the world....Tange built them all....thats simple....
Shogun is a "model" of Tange bike.(like an ET is a "model" of Kuwa)Shogun's came with HEART gussets or NO gussets.not a circle.If it has round holes,it is a Kuwa....
Next,Tange bikes say "Tange of Japan" on the BB...customer bikes say "Product of Japan"(Kuwahara was a CUSTOMER of Tange)
....and My 83 Kuwa starts K3 ,not T3...

I still call mine a Tange Shogun

The TIOGA Rhino is Tange Hot heart, KYZ Kuwahara and Shogun. Same thing.

Rhino Charge, Raleigh aero Pro, Kuwahara Lazer lite etc....
