Picked up one bike, but it will be the start of two?

My friend at the LBS has been telling me about "this old bike" that he wanted to sell for over a year.  Well, Saturday he loaded it up with another bike he was selling to another friend.  I ended up wanting the "bike" as soon as it was unloaded, can you guess why?

I had the main parts of a pink 87 Hot Streak two years ago and sold it when I needed cash.  Now I have a frame again, but need to find the correct fork and bars to get started.

Now for the answer to my question above.  The forks are drilled Hutch.  I lost my Hutch when I left my ex the first of the year.  I miss the bike, but not the ex and now I have a reason to build another one.  My old one I want to recreate:

Did I do okay for $10?

Re: Picked up one bike, but it will be the start of two?

Fiancee and it was built for her. When I left, I left everything and have not went back. It may seem funny, but I watched the ball drop for New Years, went to bed, woke up later, and drove home. Next day I called it off for multiple reasons that need not be shared. I left clothes, phone charger, random stuff like my Holmes Flick Trix, Hutch, Haro Zippo, and a Dyno VFR pitbike. The other two bikes I had given to her boys. I have tried to purchase the Hutch back, but I know its value and paid once already and will not give her more than $200 for that reason.

Bitches be crazy.

A sight for sore eyes to the blind would be awful majestic. It would be the most beautiful thing that they ever had seen. It would cause such surprise, it would make all of their minds electric. How could anyone tell them that some things are not what they seem?

Sounds like a plan!Build two from one.Take a picture first for the Frankenbike thread first.I just scored an 87'Cool Streak in that same color that is completely og but no chain guard.I am pretty sure they are hi-tensil steel but it is a great survivor.

I bought this one for my friend Paul for his birthday. $75 at the Ham Jam show. I wanted it for myself, but it was the same as his first bike as a kid. His mom had it on layaway for a year. Story alone made me know it was not fair for anyone else to have it.

Re: Picked up one bike, but it will be the start of two?

Finally had a second to work on bikes this week and took this one and another one apart.  The forks are chrome under the purple paint and still have the original Hutch decal on them.  I can't wait to find a deal on a Pro Racer frame, cheap I hope.big_smile  I hope to have time to strip the paint off the fork this weekend to see how good or bad the chrome is underneath.  The frame I hope to be able to remove the decals and strip, too.  At the same time, I am working on a Hoffman George Jr. frame set I picked up in trade from a friend.  I have new decals on the way and I am only going to be cleaning it up as I do not know anyone who could paint it like it came from the factory.  Well, I do know someone, but Lou is retired.  I also have a Standard Tao and an 87 GT Performer waiting on me to start, but I am unsure what to do with the Performer (restore or just clean and assemble).  Part of me wants to clean house and get back down to just a few bikes before I turn into a hoarder.lol

After the last time I posted pics of my ex Tammy, I doubt I will post any again.  She wanted them posted, but we had a few guys on SnB who started preaching to me about my actions and where I was destined to go when I died.  I still find it funny that they had to click on a NSW link to look at the pictures, wank off, and then decided they felt bad before their surmon began.  I can't help it that Tammy was slim and in her early twenties and their wifes had never been that small or attractive.lol

Asa, if you are serious about wanting to see them, she was a member here, but I doubt she can check her inbox anymore.  I'll see if I can find you a link to her profile.tongue

The chrome Hutch was pieced together over time.  More than $10, more like $700 or a little less.

The Hot Streak with Hutch fork, I did pay $10 for everything in the first picture.
