Is this a Diamondback?
I was wondering if that was a diamond back and if it was what year it could have been? i was also wondering about the forks? it has some stickers that say arnette or arnelle
the serial is: F3)8504),the thing after the 3 and 4look like a parentheses or a bracket on the serial they could also be like a J but looks more like a C
thanks in advance

Re: Is this a Diamondback?
Yes. Frame made by Akisu in Taiwan. F = Formosa where it was produced, 3 = 1983
You know, Roy Munson has two chances to win this tournament now...slim and none...and slim may have just left town.

Re: Is this a Diamondback?
i was looking at the 83 vipers the forks that most have have a diamond any one have any clue what the forks are i didn't see any stamping on them of any sort besides those 4 holes? by any chance do you guys think i can get 70-80 for thisor is that too much? i really have no plan in restoring it just bought it because it came with some nice wheels that i wanted and i would rather sell it to someone who would like to restore it.

Re: Is this a Diamondback?
Those look like standard Akisu forks. They may be stamped Akisu below the threads on the tube.

+1 on frame. Forks are not diamond back. They look like plain akaisu forks.

**Will Trade Chrome Diamond Back double drop out / Dual position forks for red ones.**

Re: Is this a Diamondback?
Not all Akisu forks were stamped, are they capped at the bottom with pinch areas?
