1981 Schwinn Sting
1981 Schwinn Sting
NOS Sting. Need I say more!!
This bike is unbelievable. Like a time capsule. I never owned one as a kid .But I always wish I did. Complete NOS original pulled from a dealers floor eight years ago in New York City. I am the second owner after the dealer.I'm just gonna hang it in the Garage and just stare at it. LOL!!
It don't mean a thing if you aint got no Sting !!

Re: 1981 Schwinn Sting
BridgeCity It was your sting that made me want one in the first place.I'm slowly doing a 79 build in the same colors as yours.
This one made me promise the wife to finish the bathroom before I get back to my build.

wow, that's a nice compliment.
I have to send your bike link to Ted Carl, the master of all that is Sting.
He'll flip.

Re: 1981 Schwinn Sting
tommitom after your post I contacted the Smithsonian. They do have some 50's Schwinn bikes so I figured an NOS cornerstone Schwinn BMX might be up there ally. They then proceeded to have me email one thousand different people in order for me to give them this bike!
So it still remains in my Garage !!!!
Maybe my kid will give it to them one day.LOL!!
